We called and had Affordable Service (Kurt) come out to our house in Placitas. They were right on time.We had a broken and leaking garbage disposal, wanted a new kitchen sink faucet installed, our water heater flushed, and install a new filter to our water softener system.Kurt and Alex did a great job. Performed every repair and service. They were efficient, had all the tools that were needed, and provided us with valuable advice for the future. We couldn't be more pleased with their work. We highly recommend them and we will be utilizing them when we have future needs.Happy 2024 to Kurt, Alex, and Orlando!!!

Affordable Service would be more affordable if the prices actually matched the time spent on projects. I called Affordable Service because my furnace was not working properly. The person I spoke with on the phone was friendly and promptly arranged for someone to come out to inspect my furnace as soon as possible. This is why my review is two stars rather than just one. However, the technician that came to my home, Daniel, exaggerated the time it would take to replace the furnace's gas valve (by a lot). I was told replacing the valve would take at least two hours, at a cost of $300. I was also asked to pay half up front while the part was ordered. I decided to go with another company. The substitute contractor that installed the gas valve did so in less than 10 minutes! As a result, I dodged a bullet by going with another contractor because I would have overpaid with Affordable. I understand that projects may take more or less time than is estimated, but estimates need to be reasonable if you expect to keep your local customer base - especially when it comes to simple fixes.What is worse, is the Affordable tech made snarky comments to his colleague on the way out of my house because I declined to have them repair the furnace. At least wait until the garage closes behind you and you're in your car before you start complaining about clients!

I always use Affordable Service as they get back to me in a timely manner and are very honest.Kurt and Kevin ,who took my call saved me some money and I am very grateful as I am a senior and cannot afford to be ripped off.Thank you guys! I will highly recommend you to my friends and neighbors!!

Kevin showed up on time and did an exceptional job of addressing my HVAC needs.He actually when above and beyond my expectations. I asked about dirt in the bottom of my two air conditioners and he used the hose to completely clean both of them. He could have just swept them out with a broom but he took it a step farther and did the job right. In the past, other service companies would have taken the easy way out and done less. Kevin was friendly and explained the work that he was doing so I could understand.Affordable is fortunate to have such a dedicated employee. I also want to let everyone know that tbe price I paid was more than fair and I will be using Affordable for any heating or cooling needs that might arise in the future.Thank you Kevin!

Take it from a person who has had his share of bad results various contractors. This company is the real deal. From the initial phone call, to the estimators, to the completion of the work. This company has been a pleasure to work with. The only regret I have is that I didn't discover them earlier.

I will never do busines with this company again. The service tech just left & I have an overwhelming smell of electrical burning in the house. I thought if I changed the filter it might help, but it was so crammed in the system I couldn't remove it & when I called to have the tech come back out I was told no one is available & I would have to make an appointment. Now I have to call another company to come out for the emergency after having just paid this company almost $500. I'll be sure to send them the bill.

No showed for my appointment today. 3 hours waiting and coordinated leave from work. Person I spoke with last week scheduling the appointment was nice and repeated all my info, so not sure what happened. Disappointing.

Nothing affordable about this company, their technician wanted to charge me $850 to replace the bearings and pulley on my swamp cooler, priced a brand new swamp cooler at Home Depot for $500. Got someone to fix it for $350. These people don't give honest work and just try to swindle you any way they can. Will never use them again.

My refrigerated air conditioner stopped working Saturday morning August 11, 2023. Affordable Service Plumbing advertises emergency service. I called the at 7:00AM Saturday morning and they scheduled for the afternoon between 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Never showed up and did not contact me that they were not going to show up. On the following Tuesday they called me and asked me if I still needed emergency service, 3 days late. If you need emergency service for your AC, this may not be the company to call. NOT dependable.

Skilled, courteous and they clean up afterward! Kurt knew what he was doing and he and his apprentice were enjoyable to be around. Wonderful work!
