This school has helped my son so much. He has come a long way with help from the staff. The school does its best to make sure the kids have a great learning environment. They are advocates for any child's education.

My son attended this school from 2019 -2023 . The school has been plagued with issues since inception. The principal is one of the most abrasive and hostile school administrators I've ever dealt with. His staff seemingly agrees as most of them by the time I am writing this have quit. The schools lack of resources and communication are always a constant issue. The school just opened up for K-8 but majority of the student body have left this school. I have received reports of poor behavior by students who routinely are allowed to cuss or flip off staff most recently there was a incident where male students "mooned" a teacher and nothing was done about it. The principal refused to make IEP accommodations in a timely manner and also refused to follow medical notes saying "I'm trying to run a school here" and "sue me" not in a joking manner. If you must send your child here be prepared for one of the most stressful times in your child's life to be made even worse

Here we go again, not even a month in and the school decided for every single grade and class should not go use the bathroom until passing periods, and the STEM teacher is hostile and petty, he did not let one of the classes go out after the end of the school day, and an argument broke out between another student and the STEM teacher for a possible emergency with him. The school itself had improved itself after summer, but could've been better than how it was previously and currently, a bit better than what I had to deal with.

my son has been bullied for two years here there has been physical harmed twice. the principal pretty much blew it off and put it all on my son. my sons teacher did nothing when my son was jumped he told the other student that my son can defend himself but then gave my son money to get new laces and told my son their just jerks. once the teacher was talked to he started retaliating against my son. worse school ever!

Teacher Hit me and then said that "I was playing tag in class" when I wasn't and then lied and said he didn't hit me to my mom this school is the worst school in all of America and please do not send your kids here as it is the worst school experience I've had. Also girls constantly talk in the hallway and nothing is done about it but if a boy is talking they are told to go back to class or given detention I've seen a kid get a whole two weeks of detention just for talking in the hallway and don't even get me started on the dress code this school will give you detention just for having your shirt untucked and boys are lectured about having no belt but I've seen girls get away with sweaters and bright white shoes with a hoodie on and get away scott free this school is the most sexist thing ever and we don't learn anything from science because the science teacher quit and they have a history teacher or a music teacher teaching science but with no actual teaching happening. The principal was never a teacher and is a complete d!@k to deal with and its all just on big hallway 0/10 don't recommend worst school ever

actually HATED THIS SCHOOL. i attended 2023-2024 school year and will not be coming back. students are rude, education is way below level. in math we had to relearn how to do multiplication in middle school! stem and english are the only real classes to me and for science we didnt have a teacher all year! we just played games. the stem class is actually really really nice but the rest of the school is garbage. end of year field day, they put away all the water and drinks and denied everyone water. it was also real boring. students get away with everything and dont get punished, this school SUCKS. they also didnt follow my iep until december. teachers are amazing and nice but the school in general sucks. also history was okay

We were very excited about this school and the potential it seemed to present: Small classes! STEM-focused, but with options for music and languages! But the school has absolutely failed to live up to its promise. The primary problem is abnormally high teacher (and staff) turnover. High turnover is a problem at all grade levels but particularly in the middle school grades. Some of the classes have seen two or more teachers quitting in a single year. Very few classes have retained the same teacher for both the fall and spring semesters. Moreover, it's not clear why this problem persists, but classroom instruction has really suffered as a result. For example, the teachers and educational assistants who have remained offer "free time" or "break days" to students throughout the week in lieu of teaching. During this free time, students are permitted to watch countless hours of YouTube videos in class, unrelated to the subject matter. Other teachers just showed movies. The Spanish classes lacked a licensed teacher for months on end, so students just watched "Encanto" and "Coco" - in English! - over and over, in class. A second problem involves poor planning and implementation of the so-called "STEM days," during which all of the classes are supposed to be focused around STEM projects exploring a common theme. Again, this concept has failed to live up to its potential. For example, on a "food-themed" STEM day, students watched the movie "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" in their math class! Another such day involved the school's director lecturing to middle school kids about how to start a business. Just irrelevant. Disciplinary problems seem to be constant, as are other programmatic issues. The buck has to stop somewhere, and it seems that in this case, it stops right at the director's desk. The director has never been a teacher, which shows. He seems more interested in the trappings of a good school - high-tech equipment, promotional events - than in actually creating a high quality, STEM-based learning environment for kids. We did try to raise our concerns about these issues, but the director was dismissive. Right now, ACES Tech is, quite frankly, a depressing, failed effort. Things could change at this school, but we would suggest avoiding it entirely unless you hear from parents or others that the situation has improved.
