Abitha's Apothecary

I shopped this store for the first time today. The person who helped me out, 'Josh, was truly knowing of the stones. He was very informative and found for me exactly what I needed. _M

This place is so amazing the vibe, customer service, and the products are top-notch. This is my favorite go to place.

This place is awesome!! I was looking to get new crystals and had a layover in Albuquerque a couple weeks ago. When I landed, I looked up metaphysical stores in the area and Abitha's popped up. What made this place so awesome was the fact it is an apothecary. Before I came here, I never been to an apothecary before. Abitha's has a wide variety of herbs, ritual oils, as well as, annointed candles for candle magic. Some of the candles even have a ritual attached to it for you to do. They even have cheap candles of all colors for you to make your own candle magic with. If you are into witchcraft and candle magic, and things of that nature, You will love this place!! What really stuck out to me was the back wall with all the intention incense. They were about $2.75 each for a pack of about 8-10. I had to purchase some because I never truly came across anything like them before. So far I have been burning them and even using them in conjunction with my candle magic. I can attest that these things work!! And they have a great smell and burn down slow and steady!! Abitha's does not really have a wide variety of crystals to choose from, however I got exactly what I was looking for which was a nice chunk of citrine and black tourmaline for about $2 each. I even ended up purchasing smoky quartz and rhodonite as well!! The staff were very helpful and friendly as well. I left Abitha's completely satisfied and cannot wait to someday layover in Albuquerque again. I will be returning and spending my money here again!

Abitha's packs a whole lot into it's small space next to Twisters on Wyoming (be sure you don't go to their old location by mistake like I did my first time). The staff are welcoming and helpful which is a real plus because in contrast to other apothecaries, this one carries no books about its wares. What they DO have covers a lot though - from colored candles in various shapes and sizes, including skulls in a whole rainbow of colors, to jars of loose herbs, crystals, and unusual items like porcupine quills, consecrated railroad spikes, goblets, and runes. There's also a selection of tarot decks, tapestries, and leather-bound journals. The only con is that if you're not already into witchy homemade stuff, you may feel a bit lost. The jars with labels like "Dragon's Blood" strike a semi creepy tone. You won't find angel cards or flute music here. Much of what they stock is made in house: incense, bath soaks, intention candles. There's also a wall of oils dyed bright colors to address the needs of various astrological signs and planets, and many to attract love or money. The descriptions felt a bit old-school, which is appropriate since the shop has been around since 1987 (although it's moved location since then).

Store is small and other than a few handmade items that were not given much info on everything is cheap bulk bought and sold at a ridiculous up-charge. I went for herbs of which there are little of and her knowledge offered was false and potentially harmful. I also did not appreciate her talking about the free items she receives to add insane up charges to. I feel as if her audience is small and familial and she is using them instead if being a model for others in the community. The readings that are done are often so vague and filled with fairy tale wishes of love coming in a few days and as I sat and waited for my friends private reading that I heard clear as a podcast it was much the same almost like a script. I 100% do not recommend shopping here.

This is probably one of the best places to go and get supplies for your ritualistic means. I had never gone into this place nor even heard of it until I was looking up metaphysical stores on here. I went ahead and said screw it let's go and I was not disappointed. As I walked in I was immediately immersed into the world of the occult as the smell of the natural oils and the house made candles will drag you in without hesitation. And not only that but I was greeted with the friendliest of service. I can't exactly remember but I believe his name is Josh or something along those lines. Not only was I assisted with what I was looking for but I also got to have a great conversation. And I don't know about anybody else but I love when I'm able to have a conversation with the teller of the store.I got myself so nice House made incense and another candle that I had all the essential herbs and oils inside of it for what I needed it for. This place has herbs, candles, incense, oils, tarot, books, gems, and stones. Basically anything you can think of.just like I told the guy who is there, I love the store and you guys will definitely be seeing me again!

Had to visit new location as I used to go when they were on Central. Really like the new place, it's nice. Feeling of shop is a little different, but not bad different.

Very helpful peaceful place to shop. Nice selection highly recommend. Easy to park and easy to find location. Prices are very reasonable. Happy to help and explain different items. Five star business.

Knowledgeable. Came to New Mexico for work. Needed spiritual redirection, assistance, guidance all of the above. This is the place. Their candles work.
