Yelpsters, Yes Moriarty is not your local hangout..."drifting though at all hours on your way to an exciting getaway...We left crack of dawn via I40 to Texas...but, realised we needed breakfast? We're in Moriarty and no real Yelp help...We "throw the dice" and land for a take-out at Chuck Wagon....little did we know that our dice throw landed "777!!"...we were served the most delicious breakfast burritos...large grilled tortillas filled with buttery eggs, sausage, hash browns, cheese and green chile.."eggsquisite"...the accompanying beef burrito was so fresh tasting, that I was looking for a local farm nearby. A fun surprise we will not speed by..:)Best mi amigos, Avram Sixtysix Jr.

I had the chicken breast dinner. I received a dinner salad, a great big baked potato, toast, green beans and fried chicken breast. Also included was ranch, dressing, butter and sour cream. I became full and requested a box for take home. Everyone was friendly and the service was good!

Bland , tasteless food. They tried running from an RV- apparently thought expanding to vacant building would help. It isn't the environment guys- you need a cook who actually knows how to cook. Sorry- have tried three times- it just gets worse.

I would give this place a negative 1 if I could...we walked in and we were acknowledged by the waitress and that's it. The table was filthy and we sat there for at least 10 minutes. Another group walked in and that same waitress cleaned a table off for them, gave them menus and took their order. We were still sitting there. Save your time and go to Shorty's down the road. The Chuck Wagon is mediocre.

Well we got broke down on the side of the road. We have been through absolute hell for 3 days in NM. Then we stumbled on 66CW. All I wanted was a hot meal and got so much more. I had just about lost my faith in people but the staff or owners of 66CW reigned me back in with their service and food. Their homecookin was the food magic I needed. we ordered the steak and potato, and the chicken breast plate. Omg it was a party in my mouth. My husband's baked potato was absolutely Huge and the ribeye was done to perfection. The chicken breast was so tender and juicy and seasoned deliciously. However those mashed taters were insane, they have a little kick of spice that was just a step above. I have never had mashed taters this good in my life and when I get back home to LasVegas Nv Iam going to try to duplicate this taste as best as I can. Everything we ordered was fresh fresh fresh. It was literally like I walked into my mommas kitchen and was cooked a meal. That my friends is a rare find. We bought our meals to go because we have just been so exhausted and before I turned to walk out the door a bucket of little green apples on the counter caught my eye. I commented to the lady taking our order on how delicious they looked and to my surprise she turned to me and said "you can have some take a few" well I was delighted and took 3 free of charge. The kindness and generosity was everything I needed to get me through. And those little Itty bitty apples tasted deliciously like heaven when I had them for a snack. I regret now not asking what they were used in because I know whatever it is has to be fabulous. Ty 66CW. Home cookin was just what we needed and you provided that and soooo much more.. Good people has been my missing ingredient for days and TY for just being GOOD people with fabulous kitchen skills.

I stopped in to check out the menu without any intention of trying the food. But it smelled so good and their Frito pie, which is $7, caught my eye.First off, this is the best Frito pie I've ever had. It is absolutely incredible. The green chili is roasted to perfection, and the portion size is amazing. I indulge myself as a glutton when I order this, an absolutely special treat.Sadly, the Frito pie is so good that now I don't feel like trying anything else on the menu, but I'm sure everything else is equally as delicious. I'll have to branch out one of these days; until then I'm going to enjoy this beautifully crafted dish, which would easily command twice the price in Santa Fe. God how I love the country!

Service was good. The place was clean but the food was very bland. Not bad just bland. It's like they didn't even cook with salt.

We've eaten at Chuck Wagon for several times a week for six weeks. We notice that the food is inconsistent in quality. It's very good when their main cook (Elliott) is cooking, but less so if he is not. The last meal we had there--hamburgers and fries--was way too salty. The cook redid our order, and it was fine the second time around. Since their prices are high ($8.99 and $12.99 for burgers and fries), we want to be able to eat the meal and get what we pay for. We didn't think being honest when asked how the food was would present a problem. But it apparently did. After we paid, the waitress told us that the elderly gentleman who is the owner said for us to not come back again. Needless to say, we were shocked. In view of the fact that the restaurant has few customers when we are there, we were surprised that the owner would say good-bye to our $200 a month spent there. We didn't want to make a scene and will respect the owner's request. The waitresses are friendly and hardworking, the place is not crowded and allows isolation, half the time the burgers and fries are also great. They have been opening at 10:00am to serve breakfast too. However, we cannot recommend this restaurant until the food is more consistent and the owner stops banning his customers.
