Alberto Jr Mexican Food

Okay, I will preface this by saying I was raised in San Diego and have lived here for the last 8 years waiting for the Alberto's chain to come up here. Granted, it's Alberto's Jr so it might not be the exact same chain. With that's being said, it's the not the same. The prices are higher, probably because it's in Des Moines - they don't have a kids menu, their salsa are less of a puree texture and more of a spicy watery broth, and the portions leave something to be desired. Definitely not worth it at $10-13 per main item.If you're craving delicious dirty taco shop, head down the street and around the corner to California Burrito. It's open 24 hours. They might not get your order right all the time, but the food, portions, and price are better. If you can though, drive to Renton to Aliberto's. You'll be glad you did.

i had ordered a few of their items on Doordash. Their asada burrito contains the standard fixings; it's tightly wrapped and will certainly get you full. Paired with my burrito are super nachos with the usual accoutrements: a generous amount of chopped steak, sour cream and avocado. I'd come back to this place if I want to satisfy my cravings for Mexican food. The price is a tad pricey, but I feel you get a fair portion of food. Next time I order from this place, i'll include their wet burrito since it looks appealing.

very nice staff, and service was quick. This is the first time I've tried their food and I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was disappointing to say the least, chorizo had very little flavor, the cheese had no flavor, and there was no spice/heat flavor. not recommended for a breakfast burrito. Go to South Park to get one.

Could literally cook better tacos and tortas at home! This is not Mexican food it taste like literally shit I eat the other half bc I was starving suggesting the restaurant across the street

We love the burritos here! Great for a quick bite - especially the California burrito. Be sure to grab some of the fresh salsa in the fridge!

The Carne asada quesadilla was mine as well as the flan and the horchada.Quesadilla: Well seasoned non fat meat, extra hot, cheesy, and greasy (butter?) and the portion was almost too much for what I normally eat. It was about $13 but well worth it.$3 for my drink and $4 for a slice of flan. The flan was prepackaged and not home made. I ain't mad as the food was fantastic.Yes, I WILL be back.

Deeeeeelicious!!! This place was fantastic! I had the enchilada platter, wife had the carnitas combo platter. Both were so good! The beans and rice were delicious, the enchiladas were delicious. The carnitas have a nice little crispy texture. If you're passing through DesMonies and need a quick bite to eat, stop in, you won't be disappointed. I'll be a returning customer!

They have very good shredded beef tacos, some of the best. Their burritos are okay but overpriced. Have also had the nacho fries and the same, okay but overpriced. The yelp page for them says they are open until 12:00am but have gone a couple of times at 9:00pm and they are closed

BEST hard shell taco I've ever had! First time I stopped by, I was STARVING and in a hurry so I did some fast and shameless car eating. I've gone again and again for these amazing beef (not ground) tacos for the service, the price and the quality. Outside seating on a nice day, huge menu and they have a drive thru! I want to try other things! So I got a couple of tamales they sell from a local place who hand makes them!

Lots of tasty food for a reasonable price. Note that if you use their system to order lengua, it will "forget" to charge you extra - the cashiers may catch it and ask you to pony up tho.
