They have the ugliest building but undoubtedly delicious goodies. They basically only do wholesale so if you want to grab a dessert in person you go to their production place in SODO. There's no sign outside or other identifying info so it feels a bit like a treasure hunt or a dessert speakeasy. The vast majority of their desserts are Gluten Free and they are some of the best currently available. I recommend grabbing one for your next special occasion.

Phylis is friendly and makes great cakes! I had discovered her on Yelp by chance when I was looking for cakes for my husband and we have been hooked since. So far every single cake that we had ordered from her has been amazing. They do delivery and pick up but if you live in PNW I would just recommend a pick up as parking is convenient. It is located upstairs inside the green SoDo building. We even ordered Caramel Apple for our puppies birthday -- obviously we had a feast on our own but she got a little to taste. We were happy campers.

The pies really are as fine as silk! Really like the creme brûlée, which was exceptional. My other favorites were some of the chocolate pies and the gingerbread fountain. Loads of parking in the huge parking lot. But it was a bit hard to find as I was expecting a large sign on the outside of the building announcing the Alaska Silk Pie Company. The 5-year anniversary party was amazing! Great food, amazing pies, and interesting people.

Their customer service is as exceptional as their pies! I visited Seattle from Los Angeles last weekend and placed a last minute order for a birthday cake the day before I arrived. Phyllis really went the extra mile to accommodate my request. The most delicious silk pie was waiting for us at our hotel, hand delivered by Phyllis herself. I could not have been happier. Now that I know they'll send cakes to California, I'll definitely be ordering from this place again!

I come here every single year for cakes (I'm from Vancouver). They are silky smooth and rich - don't let the size fool you into thinking you won't get full from one. The Cafe Diablo cake looks small, but you will want to cut small slices as it is deceptively rich and delicious. These cakes are admittedly pricier than what you would find in other places. This is expected as it's like eating a rich and dense mousse rather than a regular cake. However, it is well worth the extra cost.My only nitpick is that I do wish that they had some sort of sign on the place. It is very much hidden inside a warehouse and there's no outward sign that the place exists. However, if you can find it, it's a gem.

Alaska Silk Pie is a one-of-kind and locally owned dessert store. This isn't a restaurant, but it's a locally owned distributor that you can purchase individual or whole pies. Phyllis (the owner) is extremely helpful and personable. She goes above-and-beyond making you feel at home and explaining her pies.If you visit there is no sign on the exterior of the building, but when enter the building there are numerous signs and arrows to guide you to the second floor, where Alaska Silk Pie is located.

Absolutely delicious! I picked up a Gusto di Limone and an individual carrot cake and royal raspberry. The Gusto Di Limone was my favorite, and the lemon silk was absolute perfection.Pick up was easy: the bakery is on the top floor of an older office building, delightfully tucked away at the end of the "pink" line on the second floor. It's not your traditional storefront, as they mostly send out their desserts, but very easy to find if you follow the directions on their website. Just find the stairs, go up, and then follow the signs and historical adverts to the door!I actually found it really refreshing to see a bakery that was so clearly geared towards the people working there, and not trying to put on this pristine facade to the public. I want baked goods that taste good and look good, and this is the place to get them!Phyllis the owner was there, and I really enjoyed getting to talk to her and learn more about the desserts and the business.I will 100% be purchasing again! Phyllis was kind enough to give me a coupon, which I'm definitely going to use!
