Delicious. I took San Diego Mexican food for granted when I moved away, they don't make it like this anywhere else.

So, I hated this place, even though it was the closest taco shop to my house. Why, you ask? Well, it just sucked. Sucked so bad that for a year I'd drive to rival shops to get my fix. Well, one Tuesday night, a Wednesday I believe, all my usual spots were closed and I needed to eat after a two hour drive getting me back to the neighborhood around 2:00 AM. Welp, Alanberto's was open so I dove back in. "UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT" was posted on a sign as I drove up and I said to myself "that's a good start." As the visit progressed, I placed my order and was welcomed by a really friendly dude at the window. With my supreme quesadilla in hand I drove off and hoped for the best...Hey, that quesadilla was damn good and so was the burrito I went for just a few short weeks later. This place has definitely turned a corner and if that's because of new management or something else, I'm not complaining!

The food here wasn't that great. The carne asada fries were soggy and meat was bad. I would not recommend this place in San Diego because there are so many other great Mexican food places. PS there is a small charge for credit card also.

I paid extra for sour cream and pico on my rolled tacos. And only got cheese and guac. I loterally just left. I paid I. Cash. They were also suppose to be extra crispy and are super soggy. I tried to call 5 times as soon as I opened the box. And the phone number is disconnected. Your business is open!!! Is your phone not connected so pleiple can't get a refund or compensated for the extras they pay for and don't get. Not to mention it took me 20 min to get thru the drive thru with only one car in front of me and not a single person at the walk up window. I paid almost $10 for rolled tacos that don't have what I paid for on them and are soggy and gross. And I can't even call and talk to anyone. I'm never going here again.

First of all, they have a paper sign that says all credit card sales will be charged an extra 75 cents for processing fee and the 75 cents will be reduced if you pay in cash. Well that's a lie. I paid in cash and they didn't reduce it. When I asked them about it, they told me that's what their boss told them to do. I don't mind the 75 cents but you're misleading customers.I ordered the rolled tacos and they were staled and old. There were minimal toppings on the rolled tacos. The food here isn't great and nothing stands out. I don't think they really care about their customers.

The vegetarian burrito has lard in the beans.... I am vegetarian, and I've gotten sick twice from eating at this place.. save your money and go somewhere with common sense not to use lard in the beans for a vegetarian burrito....

Honestly I like the food. The pollo asado is flavorful. Their California burrito with pollo asado is pretty big, only thing is it doesn't have guac but it still hits the spot. Their pollo asado fries are good too, definitely hefty and shareable. Service is pleasant as well.

Bruh. I just the worse carne asada rabid of my life! I'm a SD and have been coming to this establishment for years (not because it's great, but convenient after drinking in the gaslamp I'm my twenties). Anyway, I just ordered 2 carne asada tacos with cheese and guacamole! Threw them both on the trash. Meat tasted a week old and more like roast beef, guacamole was not even close to fresh and the salsa ain't salsa'n! And all that for $12.88!!!! Don't eat here! There's other at least subpar taco shop in the neighborhood. This ain't it. Basura!!!!!!!

I opened up a rolled taco because I wasn't getting much flavor from it to see what's inside. This thing was basically a fried tortilla. The thing highlighted area is the meat.

The food was ok. Tacos. But wow the morning guy was off.Total dick.4 tacos and 1 hot sauce.I asked for 1 more and get an attitude but no hot sauce.The cost of the food should include the normal condiments.Won't be back.Btw the place looks totally run down compared to 04 when I used to eat here
