My 1st time ordering from Al Sham 3 in West Philly. I placed an order through Doordash. A Lamb & Chicken Kebab Entree for 19.49. It came with Lamb & Chicken, brown rice, small salad, pita bread, and extra garlic cream. I notice the presentation wasn't the best, but since it was delivered by Doordash the driver could've mishandle the entree so I won't blame Al Sham for that. The platter was a decent size but not necessarily for 19.49. The brown rice was decent but no flavor. The Pita bread was cold, but a bit small in my opinion. The salad consist of Lettuce and pickles, nothing more. The Salad was warm, therefore I just decided to pass on the salad. They did included a very small portion of Hummus. The Hummus was too salty with no real flavor. The lamb was somewhat tender with a good flavor but there were a couple of pieces of lamb that were tough & inedible. The chicken was overcooked & inedible also. I had no clue that the garlic cream comes in big portions, or I wouldn't have order extra. Presentation - 2 StarsPortion Size - 2 StarsQuality of Food - 1 Star (Majority of the Meat was tough, dry, & inedible)Taste of Food - 1 1/2 Stars (Parts of the Entree that were edible)2 Star Rating, Will not order from here again... :-/

Al Sham, I respect your hustle. I normally order delivery and wonder why it takes so long (which they do give you the appropriate wait time on grubhub) One day I actually went in to order and it's a two person crew trying their best to turn order those orders. I felt a little bad about being inpatient. My go to is the salmon salad; sooo fresh and delicious. It comes with a dressing similar to a lemon vinaigrette, tart, light and refreshing. If you need something heavier, you would need to ask.My daughter gets the salmon hoagie which is really good as well. The HUMMUS. The best. I don't even want store brought anymore. Via the app you can add more garnishes, but I leave it as-is with extra pita :)

The new lady there should have more training or something. I ordered over the phone. She repeated parts of my order back to me after I said what I wanted. One thing I did not order and 2 falafels were missing. That's the first thing I said and she repeated it back. Then she hung up the phone mad fast. I asked her for the price and how long it would take to be delivered. She said hold on then she gave me a total that sounded cheaper. She put the phone down so quick , the phone didn't hang up though and she didn't tell me how long it would take. Sometimes this place would do my salads wrong but besides that food is always good. But me not getting two things I asked for but instead something I didn't ask for makes me not want to come here again. I called to tell them and didn't sound like they were going to give any solution to the problem and they kept saying hold on so I just hung up. Like I would work with them but I'm just hungry ..My real rating for this place is a 3.5 . Food is great but customer service isn't the best.

I am always excited for more halal food in the area. Al Sham provides a fair delivery price and minimum, and fair priced menu. They average at $7ish for chicken/rice or a sandwich and about $10 for kebab platters. You can get an order of 2 falafels for $1!We had a solid great 1st experience ordering via GrubHub, fair delivery time and the food was fresh, hot and yummy. The other day, we ordered off their website to support the business owners (since Grubhub steals so much of their profit!) However, when we arrived to pick it up, we waited an extra 17 minutes even though there was no one dining in the restaurant. There were multiple people calling in, and picking up orders - but it took 8 minutes for the owner to even address or greet us walking in the door. The wait was appalling to sit around for almost 20 minutes after we already placed the order online. However - the food was good, and the owner did acknowledge and apologize. I understand that they are new and going through growing pains. I will say that I witnessed the owner being very busy, and working as fast as he could - while his other worker moped around real slowly and looked relatively useless. I hope that in the next few weeks or months the service will stabilize and improve. I will certainly update my review if I see these positive changes! For now - food is great, service and timeliness is sporadic - but i encourage you to go eat and give it a go!

First visit I enjoyed a salmon cheesteak. It was delicious and different but good. So I decided next week to Order a cheesesteak platter for lunch good also but no seasoning in my fries I asked for S, P, and ketchup (nothing), ok no biggie still taste good. 2 days I came back got the same cheesteak platter it they tried to charge me $3 more, huh? The guy told me he was sorry I showed him the menu and he reluctantly fixed it. Ok so today I order a pepperoni and steak Stromboli, they tell 30 mins. Cool I get there it's not ready 45 mins go by, still waiting. I'm beyond annoyed but keep my cool. Finally after almost an hour I get a Stromboli with what seems like just a string of meat thru it, NO SAUCE and the bottom is burnt. I didn't figure that it out until I got home so I'm gonna take this on the chin but y'all have been warned! Smh

This place is great. Food is flavorful, seasoned, and fresh. I've had the hummus, pita, salmon, falafel, taboulleh, salads, fries - it's all great. And I've had no issues with order mix ups or delays. Highly recommend!

I have ordered delivery twice and have walked in once. The first time I ordered the wrong thing, expecting shawarma to be like the chicken from the carts but it wasn't. I was more like grilled chicken strips but it was still good. Just not quite what I wanted. The last couple of times I had it.... Yum! The chicken was delicious. Turns out I wanted the NY platter. The chicken and lamb combo was awesome. They mix the two together so the flavor is awesome. With authentic cooked Basmati rice. Even better is that it's closer to my house than my other favorite halal restaurant. The falafel was Ok but the other place I frequent has more flavor. 5 stars!

Ive been in Bustleton location many times food was excellent today I went to the one in chestnut street was disappointed because food was disgusting shawarma is only half size of the one that I usually had in the other location plenty of sauce and lettuce $60 of disgusting food that we threw out and the food was cold and late. The chicken shawarma was so empty. I personally wouldn't recommend spending your money here. I have never in my entire life eaten a chicken shawarma with celery and btw no one working there was wearing a masks or gloves. Workers were wearing aprons and sitting outside. Please save your money and go to Saads , Manakeesh or pita chip.

The chicken samosas at Al Sham 3 on Chestnut St are absolutely HEAVENLY!!! Chef's kiss for the crispy shell and the well-seasoned filling!! I also had the lamb shawarma sandwich; lamb was well seasoned, sauce was ok, but I dearly missed the pickled turnips I usually get at the City Ave Al Sham location-- that makes the flavor of the sandwich REALLY pop! Hubby was happy with the food he ordered. The Chestnut St location of Al Sham has a wide open seating area, and looks clean. We went in on a whim to order take-out around noon on a Sunday, made a pretty large order (4 entrees & a few sides), and only waited about 10-15 minutes. There were only two other people there, though about 4 people came in at various times during our wait to pick up their phoned-in (or maybe online?) orders-- so if you don't want to have to wait long, stop in on a Sunday!
