Akira Hibachi Express

I love Akira for a quick weeknight takeout meal. I can call in my order as I'm leaving town, and by the time I arrive it's waiting for me. We have tried other items there, but our go-to is the chicken hibachi. It comes with chicken, rice, zucchini and onions, egg roll, and soup or salad. Two adults and two kids can eat from two takeout trays and still have leftovers. We eat inside the restaurant sometimes. It's a mixture of booths and tables. Once you order your food, you sit and wait until your order is ready, and then you get it from the counter. They do have a large glass window in the wall by the big griddle that they cook the food on, which provides entertainment for the littles while we wait on the food. I love that I don't have to drive 30 minutes one way for Japanese food. I've been coming here for over four years and it hasn't disappointed me once.

I love the hibachi chicken, steak and shrimp! And the dumplings are so good. When I saw that they offered YakiSoba noodles I was excited to try them out. So I ordered them today for lunch. Couldn't be more dissatisfied. They are store bought capellini noodles! Not the fat yaki soba noodles I expected. Shame!I gave a 3 star only because of the hibachi. Take a hard pass on the noodles, folks!

Food was on par with other Japanese quick serves I've been to. However, the wait was over 30 minutes on a Friday and we were driving thru wanting something quick but non fast-food. Definitely not quick, staff seemed overwhelmed. The eating area suffered as well with many tables left unclean during our visit. If you want some quick Japanese this place definitely isn't it.

Food is really good. The cashier is consistently rude but the cook is outstanding.. he makes it worth the return visit

Great Japanese cuisine in the Siler City area. Very clean establishment. Very large servings which you can watch them prepare for you through the window. Self service drinks. Food is served hot whether dining in or carrying out. Lots of indoor dining and ample amounts of parking. Give Akira a try, your tastebuds will be glad you did. My personal favorite is hibachi chicken with fried rice and vegetables. They have great yum yum sauce and the soup that is served with your meal is delicious too!

My wife and I wanted something that was going to be quick but with a dine in experience. Unfortunately quick was the furthest thing from this visit. We placed our order and found a booth that we wanted. 45 minutes later i finally went back up front to see how much longer. Our order was next, but multiple orders later, our number was finally called. Just under an hour later!!!! We had the same experience a few weeks before, but I was hoping it was a one time deal, but apparently that is the new normal

The place was empty so I got my food very quickly. It was so delicious. The egg rolls are very good along with the Fried dumplings. It is a little more money than other places, but it is very good food. Very clean and they are pretty nice.

At first I really enjoyed the food & the service was okay in the beginning, but I feel like every place is starting to get ruder by the minute in the food serving industry. The last couple I've been the male cashier always has an AirPod in his ear, which i don't see how he can multi-task on getting the order as customer asked while having something distracting in his ear. The very last time I went back in December, I always order the usual hibachi chicken with veggies, which cost like $11 and some change, and I'll get their cold drinks to support the business, they tried to over charge me, even a customer told me while I was walking out that they charged them 2 fountain drinks they didn't ask for. Not very cool.

We eat here often. Good food. Clean interior. However, they need to clean the windows. Don't think they e been cleaned in 6 months. Greasy handprints!
