AJ's Fine Foods

I don't grocery shop here, but I love this place for the ambiance, outdoor seating, and place to have casual meetups with friends. I've been working outside there this week because my daughter is in summer camp down the street (wifi is okay on the right side of the entrance) and they have plugs in the planters but not many places.Iced tea is solid and their food looks amazing! Sushi bar, pizza counter, sandwiches, salads, fresh bbq...Def a place I will return again and again

I like this AJ's location. It is in a quiet neighborhood in North Scottsdale off the 101. I hike at nearby Gateway Trail a lot and usually stop here after my hike. The customer service is always nice and I like the intimate feel when I shop here. AJ's Fine Foods have been around since the 80's. In addition to groceries, they have a large selection of wines, beer and liquor. My favorite thing about AJ's is grabbing a cup of coffee or tea and sitting out on the patio and reading a book or catching up with the news. I have had many relaxing moments chilling out on this patio. At the bakery counter, AJ's has delicious pasties, baked goods and desserts. They also have beverage service that includes coffee, espresso drinks and iced tea. What brings me back here is their souvenir Yeti mugs. They offer $1 regular coffee or iced tea refills with them.I like to stop by the bistro area because they offer many chef-prepared meals to take home or eat on the patio. There are a variety of meats, sandwiches and salads to choose from. There is also a build-your-own salad and soup bar. If you like pizza, AJ's makes hand-tossed pizza that is baked in a wood-fired oven. In addition to food, they sell home décor, gift items and flowers in the floral section.

Omygoodness... so close to home. That's awesome..I just love all of AJ'S outdoor grill food & all of the indoor chef prepared meals. And, what about their Artichoke slice of Pizza... yummy!Go hungry... walk out satisfied!!

There is nothing like spending a Sunday afternoon enjoying AJ's iced tea and a blackened salmon sandwich. Make sure to add the onions. #DukeOfEats

Beautiful amazing steaks. I love shopping their floral department as well as produce. First visit to this location. Fast friendly check out. They have some unique food items, gifts, and decore I love coming here. They have a nice alcoholic beverage area as well. The desserts are a big hit and I always pick up a macadamia nut white chocolate cookie or two from the bin for my hubby. Delicious sushi and hot food always on display ready for you to pick your faves and take it to go. They have a nice patio area if you would like to sit and relax.

One of the best stories in Phoenix aerial. They have a great bread! Like in old days!

This is an upscale supermarket in N. Scottsdale owned by the local Bashas chain. It has an attractive layout with a nice selection of premium food items.Note: I am a wine drinker but was not in the mood this visit to buy wine. The large wine isle and wine tasting area is the best I've seen in a metro Phoenix supermarket. I really enjoyed my Alaskan sushi roll one of the best I've had from a supermarket but with a price reflecting that of $10 but worth it in my opinion since it was very delicious.I also enjoyed the other items I bought like Braunschweiger on Lays chips and a plump healthy tomato.The cookies for .75 cents each were the best value.I spent $26 total.Service was proper and efficient.I subtract one star for very high prices and below average value but the food items were excellent.Recommended.

Disappointing with customer service both with the employee and with Michael the team lead. After the employee was dismissive and disrespectful I asked to speak with the supervisor and initially the supervisor came over and had a cordial conversation. However, as soon as he left me, he walked back in the store. I followed about two minutes later something inside, and I overheard the team lead telling the disrespectful employee that he was going to be OK to just ignore me the customerthat he would have his back

Valerie and the grill team are MASTERS of the grill and customer service! They deliver the most amazing freshly grilled meals every day. The beans are the best baked beans I've ever had (don't tell my Bostonian grandmother!) Order, go grab a delicious dessert from the bakery (hardworking and great team there, too) and a refreshing iced tea and then go pick up your grille. I could seriously eat at AJ's every day and never get bored. Hit up the deli for an unbelievable sandwich. Order some flowers. Get stuff catered. You'll never be disappointed. The staff is what makes this place truly shine and they've won a life-long customer - 20 years and counting. Thank you, AJ's team!

Hard to understand why they've discontinued Phillips Crab Cakes. Fortunately, Target, of all places, carries them and at a very reasonable price. Regularly $8.99; sale $7.99. I personally don't care for the Phillips shrimp and crab cakes which they still carry, so I don't buy them ... also, they were carrying some small breakfast sausage links that we liked, but haven't seen them recently ...
