This is a newer Chinese spot in Bridgeport along 35th and Morgan - not too far from Chinatown. There is a growing number of restaurants in this area and this happens to be walking distance to my parent's house.AFusion has your standard Asian menu, but set in a bright fresh setting. We came for lunch for Mother's day and my mom chatted with our server to see what was good, what was fresh. She recommended the chicken scallion, which resembles what most folks know as Hainanese Chicken, a delicately cooked free ranged chicken. Either I hadn't had it in a while but felt that was really good, nice ginger scallion soy sauce, perfect with rice.We also got a couple of dishes and they are good sized portions. Quality of rice was great and was included in the meal as well as the beautiful pot of tea, no extra charges! The lobster was fresh and meaty, the server said it came in that day and my dad noticed. Place is clean, bright and has a outdoor patio too. If you're craving fusion or classic Chinese, AFusion is a great option.

A solid 3 stars out of 5. The place is very nice and clean. The dictation is beautiful and the ambience is very family friendly. Now for the service. It was very good. The staff were very nice and smiled all the time. I got complimented on my earrings by one of the waiters. The only problem was the food. It wasn't that good and the portions were not what you would expect. I had the seafood combo, it nearly had any seafood. It was more veggies than seafood. My husband had the walnut shrimp. It was ok nothing good. The huge disappointment was those cold and flavorless lamb sticks. They tasted like they were boiled, it was so bad. Might not comeback. This place did not exceed my expectations. The food is very average. Chinatown has better Chinese food restaurants.

We came in with a large group for a weekend dinner meal. They have the far side of the restaurant with a separate sort of seating area that leads out to an outdoor patio space as well. Our large party of 2 tables was seated on this side of the restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes served family style. The portions are a little smaller than what was expected. Some of the dishes were different than what we usually have at a sit down Chinese establishment and some were similar. The rice was the good short grain Chinese rice rather than the cheaper kind you might find at other places. The staff was pretty attentive, always making sure our water was filled and also that there was plenty of rice.

When you enter, the restaurant is split into two area. There's a main seating area and then a private space in the back passed the kitchen. It was a Thursday night when my family decided to have dinner here. There was a few tables in the main area. I had seven in my party so they gave us the back space. The area seemed to have a theme as it was covered in all trees and vines and leaves. We ordered several dishes. We tried to order the typical Chinese dishes so we can compare them to other restaurants. You can either order online or with the waiter. We did the online option. However, I don't know if that made a difference with our meal. One dish came out 7 mins after we ordered. Then we had to wait 24 minutes in between after the first dish. My family was hungry so we did ask about updates. They told us it was a kitchen delay so we waited until the rest of the food came out. They then sent out 3 more dishes and then 12 mins after that, all our food had arrived. It's not typical for the restaurant to space out the food like that, therefore my family said they would not come back for the service or the food.

Nice new Chinese restaurant that just opened up in Bridgeport last Fall. It's in the building where Johnny Oh's used to be, and I'm glad they were able to put something new there. There's multiple Chinese restaurants in Bridgeport now, and I don't know if I'd be able to effectively rank the food here with the others, but I certainly enjoyed everything I've had from there. They have a wide range of options. One thing though that puts them above others is they have a pretty big dining area compared to the rest, and a pretty nice one too. They also serve alcohol, which very few do. I've gotten it to go, and dined in, food was good both ways. You get a lot of food whichever dish you get, and the prices aren't too expensive. I'm sure I'll be going here again in the future.

My experience was overall pretty good. The decor is really nice and it is clean. I ordered the Eggs Florentine, which was good. My eggs were cooked perfectly and I love a soft English muffin! I also tried the pancakes, which had good flavor (didn't need the syrup) but I did have one recommendation to make sure they served clean pancakes without too many black peelings from the grill. That can change the taste. The service was great as well. If something was a mistake they made it right and with a smile!

Walnut Shrimp with Broccoli was really yummy (crispy, tasty, and juicy)!!!Although the Beef Chap Chae wasn't greasy where other restaurants usually are, the noodles did clump together. Clumping may be due to the fact that I picked it up instead of eating there. The food was all really great!! Customer service was on point. I noticed they even have a robot to serve the dishes.Price vs. quantity is why I gave them 4 stars. For the money I spent, they could have filled the containers.Menu shows they have smoothies, desserts, etc .

We went during their soft opening, and when we sat down, they said that they were giving us their limited menu on paper because they were still figuring things out. However, we tried to order a couple things from that menu, and they didn't have them yet.We were able to order the beef bbq skewers, chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein. The beef bbq skewers were incredibly chewy and tough. The fried rice and lo mein was fine, but nothing special. I'm hoping that they continue to refine their menu, as the space was beautiful and they had cool robot waiters.

I dropped by within a few weeks of their opening - there are two areas to sit in, we sat in the back in the atrium like room. It was very pretty! The food was served and presented with effort. I think I'll revisit after this restaurant has had a chance to get settled.

I hate to be this harsh but this was probably one of the worst experiences of eating out I've had in Chicago. By trying so hard to incorporate a hip fusion style theme, the restaurant lacks any quality or substance. The Sichuan green peppercorn was a big bowl of oil and large pieces of peppercorn difficult to eat around. No culinary skills displayed at all. I ordered an egg white omelette and I had to point out to my server that egg whites are white and not yellow. Yikes. I hope some major changes are made to the overall direction of the restaurant because this is a hard pass for me right now.
