Great service & atmosphere. Crab cakes were 20/10 (VERY YUMMY!!). Our main dishes were not the best. Grilled cod tacos were very plain & rice noodle stir fri was very heavily saturated with sauces. If I were to go back, I'd get shrimp tacos. The blackened shrimp that we added to our rice noodle was also amazing.

This restaurant is a must when in anacortes. The crab cake is a must and the sauce for it is divine. We got the baked salmon and the salmon with poblano sauce. Both delicious and great portions!

This was the very first restaurant I visited when we moved to town and it left me feeling so excited to be in this great community. They always have such good food, great service, and friendly staff. One of my Anacortes faves!

Was excited to try this place based on all the rave reviews, but unfortunately did not live up to expectations.Food: We got the blackened salmon and the cioppino. The salmon was a small serving and was unfortunately a tad overcooked. It came with a kale side dish that had a lot of garlic on it (I love garlic but I think this seemed like it was a mistake). The Cioppino, on the other hand, was a more generous serving and had salmon, cod, mussels, shrimp etc. as well as toast. Unfortunately, the sauce was very carrot-heavy and lacking in flavor. I also did not care for the creme fraiche kinda sauce that the bread was covered in. Overall, a very so-so experience, especially for a more expensive place.Service: It was a bit confusing to get seated and it was other customers who had to help us find the hostess (you have to walk in through one of the two entrances and walk towards the very back of the restaurant). The staff was very friendly, but I think they were understaffed and we somehow had three servers through the meal. Based on reviews, I thought they would tell us a bit about the dishes, help us pick wines, etc. but it was clear that the staff was very busy and they didn't mention specials. The food took a very long time to come out and when it did finally arrive, they started closing the restaurant which is always an awkward feeling.

I tried one of their most popular dish, cioppino and it was very good. My favorite cioppino of all times is at Soto mare in San Francisco so I was a bit biased going in. Their version of cioppino is very light and healthy. The seafood was cooked perfectly. The broth was flavorful but light it had a good amount of seafood broth with just a hint of tomato. I love that the tomato flavor wasn't dominant. There was also a good amount of seafood as well as fresh vegetable. My favorite part was the toasted crostini. I wished I had more! The only thing I didn't like about the dish is the dollop of cilantro creme aioli on top of the crostini. It was a bit heavy and the flavor did not go well together but was easy to remove. For dessert, I ordered the vegan chocolate mousse with candied ginger. This was also very good. I appreciate the innovative flavors however I felt that the ginger did not go well with the chocolate. A drizzle of sea salted caramel would have been better. I thought the service was excellent and I love the casual library decoration vibe. Sometimes I just love having an introverted moment and have a quiet dinner by myself. I thought that this restaurant was not perfect but definetely very solid place located in a cute small town. I would go back again and recommend this place to others.

We are becoming regulars here for good reason. The service is outstanding. The place is charming whether you eat outside with your dog in tow in their cozy patio dining sections, in the lovely dining area, or at the counter where you feel like part of the family. Get the crab cakes! We are addicted. They are the best. The grilled shrimp are incredible. The crab au gratin is great--share it as an appetizer. Their salads are super fresh.

If you're looking for locally sourced ingredients in a passionately thoughtful dish, look no further. Our service was very good, water glasses always kept full and we were thirsty. The ambience is quaint and inviting, making us feel comfortable.. Like we are in someone's home. The only misstep is being out of their most popular dessert. Other than that, it was a deliciously delightful experience, everyone who visits Anacortes should have.

Great food and service. I recommend the cold noodle salad. Crab cakes are amazing. We had two different soups, curry and tomato, both were excellent.
