How I heard of this place: After a visit to the Kirkland Waterfront, the family was interested in a pizza dinner. This place had great reviews online, so we made a quick decision to give it a go!Type of cuisine: Pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salads with Mediterranean flavor.Ambiance: Interiors looked to be out of the 1980s, with faux leather booths, and waxy tables, "fancy" lighting in 80s-esque chandeliers and spacious dining area. A random assortment of souvenirs from Greece were interspersed throughout as decoration. A stand-alone building, with parking makes for easy access.What I ordered: We selected the Gyro Salad ($16.95) of mixed lamb & beef strips over lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, feta, cucumbers tossed in a house-made Greek dressing, served with a side of tzaziki & pita bread. For dinner, we chose the Vegetarian 10" pizza ($23) with onions, green peppers, black olives, fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese and tomato sauce, as well as a 10" Build Your Own ($13) with onion and pepperoni ($2 each additional topping). What I loved: We loved that the cheese topped the toppings in a thick layer, and the kids truly enjoyed the pita & tzaziki appetizer, while we downed the fresh, crisp salad. Why I loved it: The staff were so friendly and patient, accommodating and kind. The space is easy and comfortable and the food tasty. Cost: High

I haven't been in here, so I can't say anything about the atmosphere, my gf just brought me an Italian sausage grinder from here but holy crap was it delicious! I also tried her Turkey grinder and it was incredible too. The bread is great. I'm excited to try more sandwiches and food from here next time I'm in her neighborhood!

@acropolis_pizza_and_pasta is a fan favorite for anyone local to Kirkland. They are an Italian & Greek diner that serves pizzas, pasta, and grinders! This place is unique because it's been here forever, the food is delicious, and everything here is reasonably priced.Foods I Tried:- Cold Cut Grinder- Salami Grinder- Ham Grinder- Canadian Styled Bacon Grinder- BBQ Chicken Grinder- Vegan GrinderMy Review:We have been living in the area for a couple of years now, and this place is one of our favorite places to get dinner; not only are the grinders here delicious, but the portion sizes and prices make it feel like a steal. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by and picking up a grinder; you won't regret it!Tip: Whenever I'm craving one of their grinders, I usually call about 15 mins ahead so that when I arrive, it's ready and piping hot.

I have been getting grinders from here since the mid 70's . Shrink-flation has finally hit. Recently ordered my usual grinder only to find the size shrunk by about one third. I used to have half that night and the other half for lunch the next day. Next time I will have a salad with it. Same great taste and I will be back again.

What a great little place! Our waitress (an owner) was so friendly. She shared with us that the business has been around and in this location for 51 years! The pizza and Greek apps were delicious! She was very accommodating for my kids who are particular about exactly what brand of soda they drink, the adults enjoyed a few chilled glasses of wine. Since it was our first time she gifted us a free dessert for the table (the children had never had spumoni before, what an interesting treat!). For six of us eating dinner it was super affordable. We ate early on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded--we definitely plan to come again!

Really can't go wrong with a $13 foot long grinder at lunch that you can easily share with a friend. We got the "cold cut combo" and tomatoes and it was delicious. It could have used some marinara sauce but that was $5 so I just used extra seasonings! Their pizzas also look really good!
