Acento Coffee Roasters

This coffee shop has good basic coffee (I haven't tried their espresso drinks) and an adorable mascot dog. But what I really enjoy is their house-roasted coffee beans.The roaster machine is right in the shop, so you can see them at work. They have a good variety of single-origin beans, and the few I have tried are delightful. The cost is higher than others (compared to larger local roasters, like Bird Rock) but you can get a larger bag for a good discount. So far, they are my favorite coffee roaster in the county.

I've been to quite a few coffee shops throughout San Diego since I recently purchased the San Diego Cafe Passport, Acento Coffee Roasters was one of the shops listed in the passport.I decided to check it out today and as soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by a lovely surprise; Trapo the Scottish Terrier puppy! He was so gentle and calm. He put me in a good mood right away.I loved the decor, modern and coffee oriented. I loved that they had coffee bean bags converted into art, very impressed.The barista was very friendly. I went ahead and ordered an iced latte but added the Cafe de Olla syrup. It had to have been one of the best lattes I've had in a while.I also liked that the barista asked how sweet I liked my drinks, it's been a while since I come across a barista that is so considerate.It was really good! I highly recommend it.I do feel that this coffee shop is underrated. I'm honestly surprised there wasn't more people.I showed my coworkers the pictures of the place and one of them asked for an iced latte to go and she said the same thing;Very good coffee, cute coffee shop with an adorable greeter at the door!I'm definitely coming back.

Such a cute coffee shop with the friendliest staff! They have great coffee from a variety of different regions with the roast date clearly marked so that you can gauge the freshness of the beans! They have a variety of local sellers goods on their shelves as well so we picked up a few candles! We will definitely be back

Great espresso bar with multiple beans to choose from that are all roasted in-house. Great customer service. Tamales and pastries. Plenty of outlets. Mostly bar seating, a few tables.

Awesome coffee and always good vibes. Their new location is super spacious, and they also have tamales! You honestly can't beat their positive attitudes and great customer service.

Amazing... first off the owner is the nicest guy! He also has the sweetest staff which makes the experience even better. The coffee is fantastic! Rich and complex and perfect for true coffee lovers. So glad this place has a new location next to the military housing! Perfect spot

Great espresso! Love the SPICY tamales! I had the pork and the rajas. Love the community feeling of the shop.

If you're looking for an absolutely delicious cup of coffee, excellent & friendly service & lots of free parking, I can't recommend Ascento Coffee Roasters enough. Super delicious cappuccino. Easy in & out. Check them out!

Nice cup of coffee. Barista was friendly and helpful. Parking was plentiful on a Monday morning. Cute place. Wish they had some tables that were not high bar tables. But would definitely come back. Having a decaf cortado.

Found this place while driving around! No signs on the building, but plenty of helpful signs pointing to the shop on the roads if you navigate to it via Maps. It's a coffee roaster & shop and they offer to grind whatever type of coffee bean you'd prefer for your drink specifically. Everyone in the shop I interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and then some. I tried the café de olla and my friend tried the vanilla latte and both were great!
