After a long day at a conference we had dinner at Abe & Louie's. This was my first time in Boston so also my first time dinning here. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and educated us on great options. The ambience was excellent, large seating layout great for groups. As for the food and drinks the team definitely ate well to close out the evening. The bread was amazing you have be very careful not to keep eating it because you will be full by time your food arrive. I had the salmon but I really was not a fan of it. So I am not sure I would recommend that entree. My colleagues had the chicken and steak and they both enjoyed so would definitely recommend trying. If you are in the Boston area check them out!

Stopped by for a quick lunch today and had an incredible meal!We shared the lobster club, clam chowder, and tuna tartare and WOW! Hands down the most delicious turkey club served on soft, delicious, bread, and they are very generous with the lobster! The clam chowder is delicious and the tuna tartare was light and refreshing. The lobster club is a MUST! Served with a side salad. We had the strawberry tequila drink which was so well balanced and delicious and a manhattan which was equally as good. Staff is very friendly in a warm and welcoming environment. Parking is hard as it is in the general area so walking is encouraged. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

I would consider Abe and Louise, a boutique style steakhouse, being that they only have two locations; Boca Raton, Florida, and Boston, Massachusetts. I have been to both locations now and I must say I am very happy with the service, ambience, food, quality, differentiation of products. From my daughter's 19th birthday, she decided she wanted to go for a meal at a steakhouse specifically in downtown Boston we decided to come here after a so-so experience at the palm restaurant in Boston as well as a terrible meal at Smith and Wolinsky up in Burlington Massachusetts. I called the restaurant ahead of time to notify them of my daughter's birthday and to ask them if I could bring a dairy free cake as she has a sensitivity. I was told that that was absolutely fine and they do not charge for bringing in your own birthday celebration cake The food was out of this world, and I still have cravings for the brussels sprout sides, as well as the creamed spinach. As I write this, I'm also thinking about the large hash brown, which was also equally amazing. From the bread that was brought to the table to hitting the temperatures on the steaks and sitting right by the windows it was a wonderful dining experience. The only thing that I would suggest going forward is that they figure out a way to distinguish between flatwater classes and sparkling water glasses Because on three separate times, the buses came over to fill our cups with flatwater one in fact we had sparkling. One of the times we didn't catch them and they essentially ruined our water. We needed to have them fix this by giving us a new bottle of water. We will be back. It was a great meal.

Stellar experience. Definitely worth a treat and celebration if you can make it to it. The fancy baked potato was our highlight.

So after the pandemic, illnesses, etc. we FINALLY made it back to Boston for a few days with our sisters. Both my husband and I wanted to take them to Abe & Louie's for a special dinner, Made reservations in advance and were seated on arriving. The place hasn't changed, dark wood, low lighting, lots of customers (for a Thursday night) and a great menu, Started off with cocktails: Jameson for hubs, Fashion Forward for me, Stoli Vanilla Martini for one sister and Vitallis Pouilly Fuisse for the other sister. Appetizers were Clam Chowder, Chopped Green Goddess Salad, Oysters Rockefeller. Hubs ordered Salmon for his entree, I had the Pork Chop and the sisters shared the Maryland Soft Shell special. All delicious. We shared two desserts (Creme Brulee and Cheesecake) because, well, we wanted something sweet! Our server Matthew F. was very accommodating and personable. The noise level was a little high in the restaurant but not overwhelming. We all had a great meal, great conversation and our sisters loved it!

Thank you Sonny. YOU and your team created the ultimate Foodie Experience. Enough so that I had to celebrate life with my first Pappy's----reasonably priced!!! Abe & Louie's so amazing, Sonny suggested the Halibut w/ lobster risotto. Diners next to me ordered the swordfish. You must have an open mind---if you get a recommendation, take it. Epic experience. Made new friends, a true foodie home run. Thank you Sonny, et. al.

WOW! We didn't have any reservation for this night so when we were able to walk in and be seated immediately we were happy. The restaurant was packed and the ambiance was 10/10 with dimmed lights in an elevated and classy scenery. We loved our servers, they were so kind and always had a smile on their face! The Tomahawk steak was amazing and the garnish on top enhanced the taste of our steak with our olfactory senses! We also saw a first: a lemon cover so the lemon seeds don't spread over our food -- wow! The desert was great as well. The server brought it out and poured over the butterscotch in front of us. What a great culinary experience in the most relaxing, cozy, and elevated space!

Was excited to try Abe & Louie's for my partner's birthday and finally made it to the BackBay location. Food: The steak was seasoned beautifully and had great flavor from an amazing sear. Unfortunately, it was undercooked to our liking and it was a bit too chewy 8/10. Potatoes au gratin was probably the best thing we had. It was the perfect blend of cheesy, salty, deep flavors and the texture was beautiful, with the crusted cheese on top. The layers were not too mushy and were very even 9/10. The mushrooms were tasteful except they were too greasy, also somewhat bland compared to everything else 7/10. The chocolate cake was free for the birthday and it was super rich, and the frosting was basically fudge 8/10.Ambiance: Great date night spot or celebration. Our server was super on top of it, very attentive (almost too attentive!) and very kind 8/10.Price: The steak was $170 split between two people. It wouldn't be horrible if it came with sides but it didn't. We had to buy the sides separately and each side is about $20. It was an expensive dinner but somewhat worth 7/10.Overall, I would go again to try the other steaks but would not get the tomahawk again.
