An incredible experience overall! Every single bite was delicious, with the flavors nicely balanced between salty and sweet and savory. The Vegetable Tempura Roll was fresh, generous in size, and the tempura vegetables themselves perfectly crispy. The Crunchy Tofu Salad was dressed in a sweet orange sauce, and the deep-fried tofu cubes soaked up the dressing for a satisfyingly flavorful bite. The service was absolutely outstanding. Each employee was incredibly friendly, welcoming, attentive and accommodating. Our food came out very quickly. The energy was always positive despite it being busy (for a Monday night!) and it made the dining experience that much more enjoyable. The space itself is quaint and nicely decorated with ample seating that didn't feel too cramped or crowded. Prices are very reasonable as well. I'd definitely return again!

AYCE sushi is always a plus! It's about $25/person which is a GREAT deal. Of course, they have an a la carte menu. Sushi is pretty good for the area. I live down the street from here, so I come here when I'm desperately craving sushi. It's a very casual sushi restaurant.They're always busy, everyone seems to love coming here! Staff is great. They work hard to provide for everyone and are so kind.

We've been dining at Abashiri for over 20 years. The food and service is consistently excellent. We love to get the Big Boat which is a combo of rolls, sushi, sashimi, chicken teriyaki and tempura. Yum!

This is the best AYCE sushi spot in all of Illinois. I always come here with my friends and family, and this place never disappoints. What I love about this place is the rice to fish ratio (normally AYCE sushi places jam pack the rolls with enormous amounts of rice, but this place does thin layers of rice). Unfortunately, I've never taken any photos of the sushi rolls, but I do have a photo of a heart shaped green onion in my miso soup.

This has quickly become my 'go to' place for sushi. I've had quite a variety of their rolls, and everything was quite good! In-person dining is best described as intimate owing to the small size of the restaurant. If you're claustrophobic, this might be off putting. Seems clean; a bit heavy on dark wood. Service was efficient, though the woman that served our table during my first visit seemed overwhelmed (I believe she was the sole server). Poor thing!My preference is to order for takeout so I can pig out in private at home. If you love the spicy kick of wasabi as I do, don't hesitate to ask for extra--they'll readily compliment your order with more. Overall, good quality sushi in terms of sizes of the rolls and taste, at price points that won't cause considerable angst. I can, and do, recommend Abishari with great ease.

This little gem is a great spot for a nice quiet lunch. That's exactly what I chose to do when I stopped by. The service is nice and quick Though they are tough about leftovers. My all time personal favorite sushi restaurant. Modern and comfortable interior cool decorations with the most adorable and nice staff. Service never takes more than 15minutes even on pick up always great timing. The menu is well organized and the items are all insane. I love the variety of prices and portions. The ninja roll, gyoza, California roll, vegetable roll, cucumber roll, and Alaskan roll, even the salad are my favorite everything here is breathtaking. I WISH I COULD EAT HERE EVERY DAY. Never gotten sick from here I always feel really good after eating from abashiri I swear it improves health, energy, and mentally.

If you are a sushi lover, this is the place for you! We got the AYCE and absolutely loved it! The rolls were the perfect size. Sometimes with AYCE, places will add to much rice, but not Abashiri. The ingredients they use are fresh and savory. There are so many rolls to choose from and they put pictures of the rolls on their menu, which is super helpful when trying to decide which rolls to order. Our favorite rolls were the godzilla, samurai, and spider. The service was fast and the staff was very friendly. We cannot wait to go back!
