A Tea 7

Came here with my aunt. I've seen this place many times as we've drove down the road, never stopped in because I thought parking would be difficult. Luckily it's not, as you turn the corner of that street-- you turn again and there's a parking lot behind all those businesses! So they have double doors, one in the front and one in the back. That was so cool! This is a spot not many people frequent, there was only one guy there when we came in. The workers were so sweet and they spoke Vietnamese too. The menu is so extensive and the topping choices are great too! I went with the iced honey milk tea with brown sugar boba and grass jelly. I went with 75% sweet, but I think even 50% sweet would be doable since the brown sugar boba is sweetened! Also, the brown sugar boba was warm and had great texture to it. The grass jelly was delicious! I loved the combination, the grass jelly actually floated at the top of the drink. It was so good! Highly recommend. My aunt got one of their fresh fruit tea drinks. I think it was a peach mango green tea with lychee jelly and chopped mango! It was delicious and a hit with my mom and grandma too. They have lots of seating in here and a great menu to choose from. I highly recommend this gem of a boba spot!

The very first time we came here, the cups were sealed with some very thin plastic that broke and spilled our drinks all over ourselves and our car :(I'm glad they've now changed their cups and lids to something sturdier and less accident-prone.The drinks themselves are good and their brown sugar boba is very soft and sweet. The regular boba was harder and not as tasty so definitely opt for brown sugar boba when you can.For some reason all of their crème brûlée and sea salt foam has a hint of coconut milk flavor. I'm very sensitive to flavor so the combination of the coconut milk with my jasmine tea ended up tasting like Gorgonzola (blue cheese). I'm also not a fan of coconut milk in everything, which is why this time I opted for the only scenario where it makes sense: taro & Ube. There was so much good taro paste in this drink.$15 for 2 drinks is a bit pricey compared to other milk tea boba shops, but this is a luxury food.Service was always friendly each time we came. Parking is available in the small parking lot or on the street.

Came here because my little sister recommended it, and I'm glad we did! This boba shop was cute, with plenty of seating and lounge areas. The service was great, we were greeted upon arrival and assisted immediately. The servers were beyond considerate and made sure to ask us if we wanted our drinks adjusted and helped us understand what toppings came in which drinks. We ordered 5 drinks (pictured below) and it came out to $36.04 (without tip).I got the, "Cookie Monster," which was really sweet and delicious with the perfect texture honey bobas. I would say that if I got this drink again, I would adjust the sweetness a little bit, but that's a preference thing.Overall, I really liked this spot. The service was fast and friendly and the drinks were delicious!

I've been coming here for 3 years and I can't express enough that this is the BEST in San Diego. I'm a milk tea addict and always try the new spots all over town but A Tea 7 still tops it.Quality!! Their milk tea is always consistent, even when I adjust sugar/ice levels, they ALWAYS do it right! The boba is LITERALLY THE BEST. Soft, warm like a cloud, perfectly smothered in brown sugar & honey. I can never get over it! 5 stars!

I saw this location on yelp and since I was nearby I decided to check it out. I thought parking was plentiful but it might have been the time of day.The inside is pretty nice, it has some tables and cute decor. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they made sure to greet all customers and offer any help if needed.My order:1. Green Thai Tea with brown sugar boba- I didn't love the green thai tea, I normally get the regular Thai Tea, but I LOVED the boba. It was super soft and chewy. Sometimes you will get boba that is soft, but you can tell it's old and falling apart. 4/52. Mango milk tea with sea salt foam, mango star jelly and mango crystal boba - My niece thought this was uber delicious. 5/53. Crime of Passion with Grass Jelly. (passion fruit with fresh grapefruit- normally comes with mango jellies)My sis said it was pretty good mostly for the fresh grapefruit.4/5Oh, one thing I did not like was they charged 50 cents for no ice. There are times I am not going to drink my boba immediately and want to take it home, so I don't want ice in my drink so it melts and dilutes it. Service:5/5Ambiance: 5/5Food: 4.4/5

They have quick service and good quality ingredients here. As I was ordering with the cashier, the young girl behind the counter was speedily prepping my drink. I waited less than 5 minutes and it was cool to see her make the drink as well.I ordered the oolong milk tea- they have steeped tea instead of instant powder based drinks like lots of other places. They also allow adjustments to sweetness and ice levels. After enjoying my drink, I went back to order a second one to go for my partner. Unfortunately, they had already ran out of boba by 6 pm on a weekday. However, they had several other toppings and were quick to offer their favorite recommendations. As you can see in my photos there is an extensive menu and lots of seating. They also had decorated for the Lunar New Year.

Ok so I wanted to check this Boba tea spot to see what they offer. It's on a Main Street however lots of parking in the back and the style is cute with lots of seating areas. Service hands down 5 stars very friendly and gave me some options and ideas. Quick service. Many options to pick from and a little different from what I'm used to which is great because I hate going places that have the same stuff. Good variety. As far as food items go I guess I didn't notice because their tea choices were fabulous.

This was my first time trying milk tea. I wasn't a fan of boba before but I gave it a try in this drink and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Cookie Monster and it was pretty good. I got regular sweetness + easy ice. It had a stronger milky taste than I would've liked, maybe next time I'll get extra drizzle, and some more cookies would've been nice, but overall, I enjoyed it! Would definitely try another flavor next time!

First time was alright. Nothing special but nothing really bad. This last time, the boba is totally different - seems like the cook time was lessened as the boba was smaller and firmer. The part I disliked the most was that the boba was soooo sweet. It wasn't overly sweet like this the first time and it ended up making my entire drink too sweet overall.First visit we had the creamsicle and jasmine milk tea. The creamsicle was good, had a pretty nice flavor. The jasmine milk tea was alright flavor wise but too weak and watered down. Needed a stronger brew.I can't even remember what we had the second time. Not a good sign.This last time we had lotus milk tea and on cloud9. The lotus milk tea did not look like the photos posted by other yelpers. Others teas looked like whiteish beige but mine was dark orange beige. The taste was o.k, nothing special but as mentioned earlier - way too sweet from the overly sweet boba.The on cloud9 drink had a jasmine base. Tasted nice but again not fully enjoyable because it was like diluted jasmine tea. I remember initially the boba here was a nice size, cooked nicely with a good level of softness and chew. It was also a good level of sweetness. But unfortunately now it's firm, smaller and way way too sweet. I will say that it's nice that they offer dairy alternatives such as soy, oat and almond. They have fresh milk as well.The scent of the cleaning product used here has been evident every single time we visit. Smells like fabuloso and is very overpowering which for me makes the place less enjoyable because I personally find it more enjoyable to visit a boba shop that smells only of the tea.Also, the chairs are looking very worn out and give the place a sad unmaintained vibe.

Taro king is soooo good love the fresh taro They were out of boba and were super apologetic about it. Will have to review the boba balls next time
