Decided to remove the chicharrones because I thought they would be crunchy like sold in Mexican delis. They were not.

What a great find! We were in the mood for Mexican food and this place totally satisfied our cravings. The star of the show was their quesabirria tacos- home made tortillas packed with tender shredded beef and melted cheese with a side of consume (meaty broth) for dipping. We also shared the birria ramen and enjoyed that as well. Excellent service with a smile, and a clean simple ambiance- we can't wait to come back!

While I saw the wonderful reviews A Mi Manera has gotten, they are still new and have some growing pains. The place is cute - only about ten tables, spare on decorations, and their menu is limited but I am sure that will change over time. The food was inconsistent. We ordered guacamole and chips, one birria taco dinner and a regular taco dinner. The guacamole was mainly onion and tomato with and some avocado. The mixture tasted much too onionly and there wasn't much avocado to add to the taste. They serve homemade tortilla chips. They were very tasty but they should let them drain a little more to remove some of the oil.My wife raved about the birria tacos (which unfortunately are off my diet). I had the taco dinner with one Carne Asada, one Al Pastor, and one Chorizo. It came with refried beans and spaghetti. Since I can't do gluten, they subsituted french fries. The spaghetti seems to get great reviews from everyone who has it.The french fries were the best item we had. They were fresh, cooked just right, and lightly salted. The beans were also very good. The tacos - two tortilla tacos with an ample (not huge and not small) portion of meat with onions and cillantro. The Al Pastor was not sweet, which I like. The Chorizo was okay. The Asada tasted very good. My first bite was into a piece of very tough, perhaps gristly, meat. Aside from that, the rest was good. So, my review is mixed, and I chalk it up to growing pains. The people working there were wonderful - very nice. We look forward to giving A Mi Manera another try after they establish themselves more.

Stopped in for lunch, as I'd been wanting to try this new Mexican taqueria near the house. I was not disappointed! Stopped in and decided to order the Chicken Tinga Enchiladas in Mole, along with the Quesabirria tacos. Wow! The food was fresh, tasty, and absolutely unexpected! The mole sauce was as good as I've had. The tacos were delicious and made with handmade tortillas. Sooooo good! Do yourself a favor and pop in at A MI Manera and give this new local spot some love!

Stopped by for lunch while my car was at Discount Tire, half a block away. I had checked Yelp for nearby places to have lunch while I waited for my car to be ready. Reading the excellent reviews, I decided that this would be the place to eat. I had pretty high expectations, and they were exceeded. New place, small, friendly, and delicious. I had the chicken enchiladas (with a quite creditable molé). Best Mexican food I've had in a while. I can hardly wait to go back and bring friends. This is a winner.

Don't consider going anywhere else. This place is legit. If you like authentic, homemade recipes (including tortillas), you will not be disappointed! We tried the Pazole, empanadas, quesabirria, picaditas, and Horchata!

Homemade everything! Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, food is delicious. Got a birria taco and a picaditas plate. My guy got a 3 taco plate and a small handmade quesadilla. They STUFF the tacos and quesadillas. Chips and salsa good. And they serve duros as a snack while you're waiting for the food. Very prompt service. Reminds me of a Phoenix mom and pop shop.

Small Mexican restaurant. Very expensive. Guacamole is just there not bad but not good. I had the 3 picaditas with chicken mole and green was good and the matcha was horrible. I can't taste anything other than spice. We also had quesabirras plate which was real good. Horchata is just there. Downfall is that asked for ice water and told me that do not have that but we received a cup with ice with the horchata. Good but too expensive for me

We were out here from south Chicago on business. craving authentic Mexican the reviews led us here and we were not disappointed. Too hungry to take pics but I did get one of our half eaten Ramen. Portions are generous, red salsas are spicy as they should be. We had chimichanga, steak taco, mole enchiladas and birria Ramen. Mexican approved.

The food at A Mi Manera is delicious! We ordered Quesabirrias, Chicken Tinga Empanadas, Chips & Guacamole. Everything was so good and made fresh. The guacamole was perfection and the best we've ever had. The service is great and very accommodating. The owner noticed it was our first tine there and gave us a complete rundown of the menu. We are looking forward to our next visit!
