A Ma's Kitchen & Pho is conveniently located next to 99 Ranch. I was in the area and decided to try them out. I ordered a pho combination to-go and they asked if I wanted soft (thick) or chewy (thin) noodles. I thought this was interesting because not many places offer this! I personally like the thin, chewy noodles, but I know many that prefer the soft, thick noodles instead. After ordering, I took a seat while waiting. They brought my order INCREDIBLY fast. They were so nice and helpful. The ambience is relaxed and friendly. I love supporting small businesses like this! One thing I noticed about here is that they think of all the little details. They had a note to taste the broth before adding hoisin or sriracha on their napkin holder, which I thought was great. Also, their to-go orders are placed in this huge container loaded with everything inside- other than the broth and other vegetables. They give SO much rare meat compared to other pho places. I also love the to-go soup spoons that they give. They provided a lot of to-go hoisin and sriracha packets without me even asking! These little details do not go unseen and are telling to the type of business this is. I absolutely recommend visiting!

I had a great experience at A Ma's. You order at the counter and are given a table after you order. The restaurant is relatively small, so keep that in mind if you plan to eat there with a party greater than four. All the staff was welcoming and helpful. The menu is pretty simple, but there's nothing wrong with that if the few things are done well. If you have a taste for pho or a rice noodle bowl, definitely worth giving them a try.I ordered the combo, which includes a pho, egg roll, and drink for $15. For the pho, you can choose between chicken, steak, or shrimp. I opted for steak. I thought the combo was a good value because the pho along is anywhere between 13-15. The order came out really quickly in a stainless steel bowl. The broth was tasty. Salty, sweet, and a robust pho broth flavor. The noodles had a nice texture, and the steak was some sort of thinly shaved beef. The egg roll was good. Fresh, hot, and had good flavor and texture. I thought the portion size was great for the price, and it was enough to make me feel satisfied at the end of the meal. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and the convenience of having it located in a plaza that I frequently visit many of the retailers and businesses.

4.5 for me. Came by on a Saturday around 6pm and barely got a seat! Order first at the front then get your number. Limited seating. Nice and friendly staff.Interesting menu where they give you options between thin or thick noodles and fatty or lean broth. Ordered the #7 with thin noodles/lean broth and the special combo pho with thick noodles/fatty broth to try.Soup came out piping hot which is very important for pho! It was delicious and on par with the pho I am used to having in San Jose, CA. Will definitely come back. The thin vs thick noodles tbh didn't have much of a difference to me as they tasted the same. But I think I would personally choose the lean broth every time to be a little healthier haha. Bathroom was out of order so knocked half a star for that.

Heard so many great things about this place so had to try it out. The first time I tried it, I was not impressed (soup broths were light and watery), but all the foodie family and friends mentioned this place is amazing so I had to come in to try again.... I was so amazed how different it was from the first time I tried it. The broth for the pho and bun Bo hue were not impressive at all the first time. This time wow, the broth was so flavorful for both of the soups!! The pho is done perfectly! You get to choose chewy or soft noodles for the Pho and we did chewy! For the Pho soup base, you can choose fatty oil or non fatty oil broth. The bun Bo hue broth was perfect amount of flavor with the fish sauce. The bun Bo hue noodles were short, but could be what I got at the time with my bowl. So happy I tried it again! Egg Rolls were okay.Banh Mi was small, but the meat inside of it was SO GOOD! Love the flavor they did for the grilled pork. You order the food and then find a seat. The soups came out fast. The restaurant is small, but since the food comes out fast the turn around is quick. Great portion for the price! I would recommend this place!

Not quite sure how I feel about this place yet, but I love their monstera tiles lol.Staff I wouldn't say were too friendly when my family and I came in. They were packed as usual though.( I love that for them )There weren't many tables to choose from and it was definitely a tight squeeze for 6 people.Alot of the tables weren't cleaned off, so the wait was rather annoying. My noodles weren't chewy like I had chosen , they were overcooked. The broth was okay, didn't seem flavorful enough for me. Pricing is fair though, for the portions! Their fried egg rolls seemed to take forever to come out and they were okay, weren't something to write home about. All in all of I was around the area I'd eat here, but I wouldn't come out of my way. Although my parents feel differently and really enjoy this place.

Small but perfectly in an Asian plaza! I found out about this place on Instagram and my Esthetician recommended it to me. She's Vietnamese and she said this is the closest she's found out here to home. It was a must try!Wait time was typical. Pricing isn't bad. I saw one employee who was taking the food to each table with gloves on. And another without. The one without was the one who brought mines and even touched my spoon. I think I became more weary of that when I ready the health code violation. Nothing bad but only found out about it on Yelp. The one with the gloves was super friendly and checked on me and even brought me fish sauce. Overall the food was rich in flavor! The pork egg roll was freshly made! I will definitely be back!

Been hearing a lot of mixed reviews for this place that are completely opposites of eachother. Some say it's the best and others think it's not good at all. It took me awhile to finally get a spot here because every single visit has been packed or sold out. Keep in mind they have a small restaurant with limited seating and they tend to sell out much earlier than their already early closing time of 7pm. The hype around this place has been huge cause the line is out the door, over an hour wait, or sold out every time I've gone. I was lucky at 3pm on a Saturday thankfully. The pho and bun Bo hue were good. The large metal bowls they come in are actually really nice since it's a great portion. The flavors are there and imo I think the bun Bo hue could use more lemongrass.I think everyone obviously has a different palate when it comes to Vietnamese food so it's either good or bad no inbetween. So I suggest you go and try for yourself.

Bookmarked this place to try and decided today was the day! Although, as I got out of my truck in the 120° weather, I thought I surely lost my mind thinking, why would I eat a piping bowl of pho on a scorching hot AZ summer day?!?! So why not? I got the #10 combo pho and it had a lot of decent flavor. They say the broth makes the pho, and this was pretty good. But not the best I've had. Tons of noodles (I picked the chewy) and decent proteins, and a good portion of side topping bean sprouts, mint, and lime wedges. Also ordered spring rolls and egg rolls both weren't bad, but again not the best, especially as they cut their shrimp in half to have each spring roll presented with "full" shrimp on the outside of the wrapper. The downfall is that this place is small, their water jug is self-serve, and not really a full service restaurant. I'm not sure about not having full glasses of water at a sit down, but order your food at the register. Also, the restaurant gets hot. I originally thought it was the jalapeno slice I ate, but it started to heat up uncomfortably where I just wanted to exit quickly. Im not sure if their HVAC system is working well since they installed ceiling fans. Guess they are aware and just have to deal with the heat.

Located in the same plaza as 85 deg and 99 ranch in Chandler so a prime spot near other good Asian businesses...My friend and I arrived around 12:30 on a Thursday last week. There was a lil line out the door and every seat was taken inside. There are a couple tables with chairs on the outside. I ordered at the counter, the girl was really sweet but was very distracted since she abruptly talked to others three times while I tried to give my order. She gave me a number and I waited outside. I saw a group leave a table inside so I went inside but then I was told it was for the guy standing to the side who was getting his food next. So apparently you can't sit at any table until your food is ready? I don't know, that was confusing. I'm sure it's more laid back when it's not busy. I liked the aesthetics of the interior with the Vietnamese hats and plates on the walls. Bathroom was nice and clean as well as the tables and chairs. They need more napkins dispensers since a guy asked to take ours. It took 45 min from the time I ordered till the time I received my bun bo hue. I know they just opened and we came at a prime lunch hour so they are probably still working out the kinks. The portions are big so that's nice for the price. While my bun bo hue was good it was not spicy at all! Even my friend tried it, who doesn't like spicy, said there was no spice. If you know bun bo hue, it's a Vietnamese beef soup that is supposed to be spicy and that's what I was craving. There was also more shredded onions than noodles in there so that was meh. My friend's pho was good but they forgot to cook her egg rolls so they gave her two sodas to make up for it. So Ama's is not bad, I just don't plan on going again anytime soon. If you go, try to avoid the weekend for now and the busy lunch/dinner rush hours...
