I came here on a date and enjoyed one of the best overall fine dining experiences I've ever had in Philly. The service was immaculate, and in my opinion what sets this restaurant apart from the many other phenomenal options in the area. My server walked me through the entire menu noting what I could have with my several food allergies (gluten dairy and eggs). We even had her sign the menu because I was so impressed with how thorough she was lolThe standout dishes to me were the oysters with tarragon mignonette and branzino on top of baby bok choy tapenade and zucchini. The branzino was cooked to absolute perfection, the skin a thin crisp and the meat buttery and melting in my mouth. The vegetables underneath were so flavorful and refreshing. My date loved his burger so much that even after trying my fish dish he was happy he got the cheeseburger haha. The wines were all amazing and humbly priced in my opinion. I'm usually a cocktail girl myself but the wine here is worth straying from my usual routine. I'll be back soon I hope! Excited to see how the menu changes seasonally.

Do you have dietary restrictions? Stay away! We stopped by here for lunch. The place is super intimate and I love the open kitchen concept. When entering, everyone was so friendly until when we got sat, our server was not. The menu doesn't clarify which food is gluten free. So we waited for our server to clarify before making the selection. We asked the server what are the gluten free options and she said "tell me what you want and I'll tell you if they're gluten free or not" ?????like what? Never heard this type of response. Then I ask if she can't tell us the gluten free plates and she said "every plate can be modified to gluten free". We eventually ordered with bad taste in our mouth. We got our food and the person who seems to be a manager was super nice and said "we made sure everything is gluten free".The food was pretty good but with the poor service, I really don't see myself going back.

Argh I wanted to like this place so much! Especially because of the wines selection (best part) and everyone loves it. We made a reservation at the chefs counter (which is usually the best seat in the house) but it was not in this case. Unfortunately, they do not have a good exhaust system there so being so close to the kitchen (which is open) was very hot and smelly. So we moved to the bar. The whole restaurant definitely left a stank on our clothes and hair (which is not a pleasant takeaway) because of not having a good exhaust system. If you have an open kitchen - that's one thing you must have. So that was a sour note to start on, food overall was just meh. The burger, which ppl rave about, was good but nothing to write home about. There were some great parts (which is why it isn't rated lower imo) - cocktails, service and wines but food was just meh overall. Go for a drink and an app before dinner somewhere else.

My favorite Sunday brunch in the city. I had family in from NYC yesterday, and we had the most amazing meal there. Great food and service in a lovely, charming space.

I know, everyone says they have the best pancakes, but this place really does have the best pancakes I have ever tasted in my entire entire life, and I don't even fuck with pancakes. My friend and I walked over here one tired morning after boxing class, to quickly grab a bite. We sat outside and service was prompt. Our server was friendly and helpful. The ambience is a little bit more casual than dressed up. If you like good food, you'll like it here.

A.kitchen was the location my son has picked for dinner after our show of Terence Blanchard. So we were really looking forward to a great meal.Upon arriving, I found the place dark. But I didn't realize the lighting was so ill designed. We eat with our eyes. Darkness interrupts that need for satisfaction. My son started with the Fried sweet bread while my wife had beets. An order of sesame bread with butter was outstanding. All plates are small. My wife had the fish with vegetables in a sauce that she thought was very good. But you couldn't tell what it looked like. The photos I enhanced we DID NOT SEE IN THE RESTAURANT. My son had the chicken, which again, when I took a photograph with a flash, looked less tasty than you would imagine. It was a tremendous preparation, but I didn't find it any better than French provincial. And you don't have to do anything, and you don't add calories. I had the Wagu; 5 small slices, sauce, carrots, sweet potatoes. It was OK. Cool bottom. (Aged Angus has much better flavor. Just as fine in tenderness w/o marbling.) My son had the pana cotta w balsamic and lemon. Meh. Suggestions....Replace those awful LED fixtures (with the worst CRI, color and light in the world). The wood slat ceiling makes it difficult to provide even light. So these points of light in your eyes obscure everything you're supposed to look at to make you interested in eating and enjoying a delicious meal. Why? Guests in front had the salad I was going to order. It was impossible to see it was green. We eat with our eyes. Service...excellent. Thanks.

Overall: realistically more of a 3.5 star. I've heard a lot about this restaurant so finally decided to come for restaurant week for $60/person. Also serves natural wine here!! Food was fresh but the flavors were either too over powering or weak. Might possibly give it a second try for lunch or brunch Ordered: 3/5 Mussels: soaked in a light green curry (?) sauce, tasted like a very diluted Thai green curry sauce which didn't match the unflavorful mussel, probably would not get again3.5/5 tuna crudo: everything about this dish was so good EXCEPT for the chili oil.. it overpowered the tuna freshness and toppings, def would've been a 4 if they lessened the oil 3/5 cod: also in the same green curry sauce as mussels, fish was good quality and soft.. but tasted very simple 4/5 waygu steak: perfectly medium rare, well seasoned and tender, portions were a bit smaller than expected.. 5 pieces? Ambiance: super cute for a date night, a bit too dark for my taste but very good vibes, restaurant isn't loud as all guests are respectful. Tip: natural wine is served here!!

I came here for a business trip and was looking for a place that had availability for dinner since we were starving. We were immediately seated outside which was really lovely with the warm weather. Our server was incredibly sweet and walked us through the menu and explained all of the vegetarian dishes that were available for me to get. I ended up having this amazing dish that was a tomato based chutney with asparagus, artichoke, peas, radish and a sauce sprinkled on top. All the vegetables were incredibly fresh and the dish was delicious.

Came here for a work lunch after hearing about the cocktails from a friend and was wildly impressed! For a drink I got a vodka/aperol/rhubarb signature that was really spectacular. Bright and not too sweet. My coworker got a mezcal/rum cocktail that looked really good.My coworkers got the burger and the ricotta rosette, which might be the most intriguing looking dish I've seen in a long time. Both were impressed. I got the seasonal French omelette, which was stuffed with roasted winter veggies. The balance was really excellent. But the star of my plate was the side of potatoes. I could have eaten just them!

I was so looking forward to eating here but I had such bad service at the bar I had one glass of wine and left. I walked over to the love and had a great experience. I am so sad because I love Fork and wanted to love this spot too.
