If you like middle eastern food, you need to eat here. The owner, Ibrahim, is making amazing, fresh food! I had the beef shewarma and a side of hummus, he added some of his personal olive oil stash that was shipped by family in Palestine, it was amazing. Thank you Ibrahim, I'll be back soon!

I would never have found this place if it wasn't for my friend Wally who knew I would like it. I'm such a fan of this little market and restaurant. This place for me was instantly comfortable. Ibrahim is as genuinely nice a guy as you will ever meet. I love his smile. He bakes white and wheat pita bread and supplies restaurants all over town. He also sells lamb and goat at good prices. He has a hot table with lamb shank and a goat stew, rice and stewed okra both times I was there. One time he had white beans. I had the shank over rice topped with the okra with a little more on the side, pita and a side salad - with a soda & tax for 16.50. That's a bargain for lamb shank folks, and it was very well prepared.I have not tried the goat yet, that's next if I can overcome my urge to order the shawarma. Oi the shawarma! It's unlike any shawarma you've probably ever had. It's not traditional because it's cooked on a flat top grill, not on a rotisserie and Ibrahim makes his... with curry, his own blend of curry spices. Absolutely delicious. A destination sandwich. Every ingredient so fresh. The sandwich has lettuce, tomato, pickles and ranch. Pro-tip - he can add Serrano peppers!I asked him to add hot sauce to mine. He may have added mustard automatically because I saw a bottle of yellow mustard. Or his curry may be mustard-y. Yet another mystery to solve. So many questions.A & H also sells labneh, a new obsession of mine. It's yogurt that has been drained so it's thick and spreadable like cream cheese but has the tartness of yogurt. You can eat it with honey or olives, cucumber or paprika, olive oil, fruit, my mind spins when I think of the possibilities. Go see Ibrahim and try everything. This kind man deserves Nashville's support.

Good shwarma made in a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant/market in a somewhat seedy strip center. A friend took me here and had been told that these are authentic shwarma's. I've been several times and the first few times I went they were very fresh with fresh ingredients. The last time I went the meat was kind of dry. The good thing is they make them right in front of you and everything seems fresh. Also, most of the clientele is Middle-Eastern which is a plus because it is somewhat of an endorsement of the food. I did have a friend, which I recommend the place to, who is from Dubai tell me that they ARE NOT authentic. She also told me that shwarma's in Dubai and shwarma's in Jordan (wherever) are different regionally. So that may be why she didnt think they were authentic. The bread pudding was not good.
