Yet another one of our favorites .. Exquisite food with yummy drinks! Plantains were rich & sweet! Chicken breast was juicy! Our waitress Janiece was an absolute sweetheart! Definitely friendly! Great memory! She almost read my mind when I asked for extra sauce. As soon as you step inside, it transports you directly to Cuba. Decor is most likely from their home country. Only go if you enjoy the weather, as there's no a/c or heat! They even have an outside patio!

I love Cuban food. From Florida so I eat it often. The Ropa Vieja was okay. $5 to add Maduros. Kinda shocked I spent $41 for a meal by myself with just water. 90 Miles is just ok. Food was good but not great. Price was high. As someone mentioned in another review, don't be afraid to put your hand up to flag down a waiter. I love the way the restaurant looks and the outdoor dining set up is very nice.

Overall Thoughts: This is a popular spot in Logan Square touted by Guy Fieri and famous for its Cubanos. I tried the Cubano and Media Noche sandwiches and though they were good, both were lacking in flavor compared to other Cubanos/Cuban food I've had elsewhere. The service was pretty slow, but I enjoyed the vibes of the space-- the interior is adorned beautifully with ample murals/art. Overall, it's a bit pricey-- clocking in at $17-18 per sandwich with a side of fries or plantain chips, it's definitely pricier than most other comparable Cuban restaurants in Chicago.Food I tried:- Cubano with Fries (4.2/5) and Media Noche with Plantain Chips (4/5): The Media Noche is basically the same as the Cubano except with soft sweet egg bread instead of traditional pressed french bread. However, I still preferred the crispiness of the Cubano's original bread over the Media Noche's soft one, which eventually got kind of too soft / soggy. The plantain chips were +$1 but I liked them a lot-- they were crispy and flavorful. Overall, both sandwiches tasted good and I would order/eat them again in the future, but they could've used more mustard-- they were a little dry overall / lacking sauce. -- Price (relative to peers): 3.9/5Food: 4.1/5Ambience: 4.8/5Service: 4.4/5Overall Value: 4/5

I was really sad to hear they no longer have my all time favorite meal- VACAFRITA - so I got a Palomilla instead. It was good. Then platanito maduros were delicious (the plantains).

Went for a quick lunch on Saturday. It was early , not very busy. The waitress was very nice. We ordered churrasco entree. If came with yucca and rice. To add some extra we ordered their garlic sauce which was fantastic on the steak and yucca. The fireplace was on and the whole place smelled really good, like wood. Highly recommend.

We were in a group of 5 and we all had a good time. If I'm near the area and I'm the mood for Cuban food, I will definitely consider this place at the top of my list. A cool part that they offer is BYOB and there was a convenience store nearby too, so that was cool & convenient (ha). Initially, I felt bad because we showed up 1.5 hours before closing but they didn't treat us like we were not welcomed, we still had a good experience and felt not rushed. It was on a weekend and it definitely gets lively & fun toward the end of the night, always a good time with good music. We sat outside too, so that was a cool experience. Eating, talking, and having fun outside. My was above-mid but nothing out of this world. Like I said, it was good enough to go back to this restaurant again! Thank you 90 Miles Cubano, I will be back soon enough. Personal Review: 6.9/10

I came again. I would like to add that this place is BYOB. You can bring your own rum and buy the mojito mix. They have a passionfruit one and its chefs kiss. The staff was friendly and the music playing was great.

Loud but satisfyingI always pass this place on my way to work and finally got a chance to check it out. It's a very lively-looking spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for summer and springtime. It's important to note 90 Miles Cuban Cafe is BYOB, but they can sell you Margarita mixes and Paloma for your drinks. I suggest an excellent tequila. The wait staff was busy that night, but everyone was accommodating and friendly. Food-wise, we got the chicken and beef empanadas which were terrific. I would have eaten this on a platter which they do offer, and been satisfied. For our main dish, we got a hardy chicken soup with carrots, potatoes, yellow rice, and plantains. It was soo good. When I checked in with Yelp, I received a free dessert. Which usually comes with flan. The wait staff was friendly enough to give me cheesecake. Overall, this was a great food experience, but if you're going for a pleasant conversation, it may not be the best place for you. Cuban Cafe is fun and exciting, and great for groups. I will most definitely be back for the food. 4 1/2 out of 5

Food was amazing but unfortunately we were very disappointed with the service. From the start of our experience at the door they told us they could not accommodate our party of 6 outside on the patio and on our way out of the restaurant we saw tables put together to accommodate a party of 7. Our server Eduardo only came to take our order and give us the bill and we were charged 22% gratuity on the tab and were still asked to tip a 18, 20, or 22 after swiping our card. Would only go again for a takeout order. We were very disappointed with our experience considering the raving reviews this place had.
