Came into 8th and B Poke today and was blown away from how delicious and fresh all of the poke we had! The owner Chris was very welcoming and friendly to all of us who came to eat! The atmosphere inside is chill and casual with a long table, perfect if you want to have a quick bite, and also a bench outside. I will definitely come back to try more flavors, and I must add that 8th and B Poke is easily the best Poke Ive ever had!

After numerous recommendations from friends to try this place, I stumbled on on a Sunday afternoon. The store shop is small and clean with limited seating inside and out. With a limit of 3 customers inside at a time, I waited patiently outside while looking over the menu. I ordered a large rice bowl with tempura (+$2) and chose the following flavors:Yellow Tail Wasabi - not overbearing with wasabi just enough to hint itScallop - this was a mix of Salmon and Scallop with a mayo marinade (I think)808 Tuna - spicy, one of my favorites The plate was hefty and each bite had chunky pieces of fish. You also get furikake topped rice, a scoop of minced tuna and shredded imitation crab. All flavors were a hit and the fish was marinated really well. It's crucial to go early or around opening time, I've been here twice in the afternoon and one time they had a decent amount of flavors left and the other time they were out of Salmon/tuna with only tako (don't sleep on this type of fish either their kimchi marinade is quite good).A cool thing they do is offer weekend specials which are usually posted on their socials and change each time, this adds more variety to their simplistic menu. It's probably my go-to spot for poke and can't wait to try their other poke flavors!

This poke place is my death row meal. One of my FAVORITE PLACES IN CALIFORNIA. I moved to SD 2 years ago and found restaurants in SD lack luster compared to back in Seattle. Until my bf's coworker recommended this place. I went by myself the first time and I remember trying I bite in my car but that turned into me finishing the whole plate before even driving home... I come every other week now ordering the kimchi ahi and salmon/scallop. I've tried to gatekeep this place but I've told a few friends and THEY LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO. Nobody is doing poke like this in Socal. I've been to the other viral spots like it's raw and poke etc... they don't compare. Try this place and you'll see why. The owner is so sweet :'), I keep notifications on Instagram in case he has any deals. He had 2 lbs of crab and I immediately drove down to buy it at a crazy good price. Make sure to come right at opening at 11 am; keep notifications ON bc they sell out in 2 hours... there's been a line out the door 8/10 times I've been.

My friend and I visited on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of street parking. Interior has about 6 seats, exterior has a long bench & some taller tables. I got the medium plate with the citrus salmon and the limu poke; it also came with white rice, crab salad, a scoop of spicy tuna, and crab salad for $16. Portions were slightly less for the same price at other poke places (like Hawaiian Fresh Seafood). The citrus salmon was my favorite and I would come back for that alone. I thought the limu ahi was slightly oily and the texture of the fish was chewy (?) whereas I feel tuna elsewhere is buttery/smooth. Service was great as well. I had asked about the citrus poke & they gave me a sample! TLDR: Highly recommend for fresh poke. Get the citrus salmon!

Poke is fresh here. The cut the pieces of fish pretty big and I love how each bite has enough fish. Sauces complement the fish perfectly. They are made it order and they will work on your order after you pay. They are very nice and make you feel at home. It's a small restaurant that seats about 6 people. There's plenty of parking in the area.

Anytime I go to SD, I am always in the mood for fresh hawaiian style poke and this place did not disappoint!! Fish quality is amazing w great flavor! I love how they cut the fish into big cubes and the portion is fair for the price. Service was quick and personable, felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer. It's in a new complex and is very clean but small. There is still bar too seating available inside though!

AHMAZZZZZING POKE. This is definitely my new favorite poke spot in SD. Found street parking a block away on a Saturday around 12:30ish. My boyfriend tried to come here on a Friday at around 3pm and they were sold out. They close shop once they sell out so definitely go early! There's not a lot of seating, about 4 counter height chairs inside and 2 tables outside but most customers take it to go. Staff was really friendly and helpful. I got the $19 large which comes with 3 scoops of poke and added a side of shrimp tempura (comes with 2) for additional $3. Suuuuuper worth the price for the amount of food I got and fresh quality! The 3 scoops of poke I got:- Creamy scallop salmon masago (10/10) OMG where has this been my whole life?! Perfect for salmon and scallop lovers. No other poke spot has this combo and it works out perfectly well. Hope they never take this option away.- Shiso wasabi yellowtail (9/10): The wasabi was subtle and I really enjoyed this. Was thinking maybe a tad of ginger would enhance the flavor but still great overall.- Kali ahi tuna (8/10): This was creamy and definitely a common flavor at other poke shops as well. I appreciate how they added 2 slices of fresh avocado to top it off instead of mixing chunks of avocado in with my poke.I really wanted to try the miso black garlic salmon but unfortunately it was sold out by around 12:45pm! I love how they include some kani, seaweed salad, and spicy tuna with my large poke. White rice is the only option available for the base. Wished they offered a mac salad or green salad option but that's not a deal breaker for me. We loved the poke so much that we bought 2 containers of poke to go. Will definitely be back!

I've heard there's always a line so I wanted to check out the Poke'! I arrived a little after 12 and the line was fairly short and not too much space inside to eat but I was taking it to go anyways. Parking was easy and on the street. The shop is nice and clean. The menu was easy and had your choices of different proteins and sizes. They often run out because they stay open until it does run out, which is fast. I ordered the Garlic Ahi Poke and Spicy Mayo Salmon with Shrimp Tempura. Let me tell you, it "broke da mout!" Was so good. Lots of great flavors and one thing about Poke', some people make it too salty and it was definitely just right! Would definitely come back again!
