85°C Bakery Cafe-Bellevue

This place offers thoroughly average and relatively underwhelming pastries. There are much better bakeries, almost none of which are in Bellevue. Specifically for Taiwanese pastries, Kiki Bakery in North Seattle is much better. For more broadly Asian-style western baked goods (cakes, etc.), go to Regent Bakery a few blocks away.The service is not bad per se, it's inadequate. If you go through the front door and there are more than four people in line, be prepared to wait, and possibly for a long time. More often than not, they have only one cashier; even though there may be three or four other people behind the counter, none of them would be allowed to run the cash register. I went there today and the line was seven or eight deep. I thought I might wait it out, but two people in a row bought 10 or more pastries, and both wanted to pay cash, and there wasn't enough change--first in bills, then in coins--in the register. Someone behind me in line asked one of the coworkers behind the counter if she could help people at the register; she could not because there was only person authorized to be cashier. That person left a few moments later. I left shortly thereafter. It's not the first time I've left when there was a long line. The only thing this place really has going for it is its location.

Excellent, affordable pastries and cakes - giant selection of classic and new pastries - whether taro marble, pork floss buns, pineapple buns, red bean, matcha, or savory pastries - they have something for everyone! Really nice cake case full of freshly baked cakes, black forest, tiramisu, mango mousse, very reasonably priced. Knocking off a star as the Bellevue location service is downright abysmal. Long lines, poorly staffed, rude service. So sad, because the pastries themselves are excellent quality!

Unfortunately, the Bellevue location speaks really poorly to their customers. I witnessed a child accidentally knock over the napkin holder, an elderly man came to help pick everything up. The child ran away, and the staff member at this location decided to tell the elderly man " maybe next time you should try being more careful"I don't think any person should speak to a customer like this, especially someone who was actually stepping into Help. I just don't think the service here is great compared to other locations I've been to, constructively. Also, the bathroom is disgusting. And they have speakers inside them with music super loud. What they do well is the food is stocked and everything seems available especially if you go earlier in the day, everything looks really uniform, and the cash register does go quickly, so no lines get long. Drinks are pretty good as well.

Got three desserts to try (our first time here) and they were all good! Very rich but delicious. Very fast paced bakery so can be a bit overwhelming the first time but staff were very friendly and helpful. Selection was big with desserts and savory items as well.

This bakery offers a wide variety of delicious treats. I recently tried their strawberry and Black Forest cakes, both of which were delightful. The prices are fair, making it a great choice for anyone with a sweet tooth. I definitely suggest giving this place a try.

A newly found dessert delight. Deserves 5 stars for many reasons - squeaky clean, great presentation, freshly made desserts, amazing staffs, no tips asked, affordable.The desserts stands for it's freshness and taste. They keep filling the desserts regularly. You will know that the breads are freshly baked. They have cakes too - we got a strawberry cake and black forest. Both of them were made with favor rich ingredients. This place seemed like a great find because they seem to rotate the desserts, so you will find something new to try every time you do. I didn't even mention about their coffees and drinks - they have a wide selection and we liked both the hazelnut latte and milk tea we got. Definitely coming again.

Great stop for a rainy day. A few indoor tables but seems like more of a to-go vibe. This location has trays for the buffet snack style, but you don't really need them because everything is already wrapped in plastic. I don't love how much plastic is being used, but this is probably just a symptom of COVID.The hot sea salt matcha has a great strong matcha flavor, the salt is only at the top and brings out more flavor (I don't like a lot of salt and it wasn't overpowering at all).The mango creme brûlée was so fluffy! Not as tangy as I'd like so it didn't cut the sweet cream flavor much, but delicious nonetheless. The texture made it worth while. I wish I could try everything !

This is the first 85C I've been to in WA and the bread, cake & drink quality and selection are pretty universal (all equally good). Even the patrons here wander in circles and bump heads like every other 85C. There's only 3 tables to sit at, which I find lacking. Otherwise, a nice place to stop for bread!

Gahhhh 2 words: mango pastry This place looked amazing and delivered! The pastries were light, airy, and amazingly flavorful.

We love it. This bakery is great for desert sweets that aren't overly sweet. The chocolate cakes are rich but the creams are thin and light and the flavors of most buns and cakes won't overwhelm. One major complaint is that eating in is not particularly welcome. You won't find plates or knives to cut your night cakes into sharable pieces for your family. Another complaint is that by time you go in for a desert bread, two thirds of the menu will be sold out. That said, it makes for a nice bakery. The reason things are sold out is that they're good. No denying this.
