It is extremely rare that I am able to be the first review on a restaurant. Therefore, I take this honor with excitement and humility. Oh yeah baby, let's get it going.I have been living in this particular neighborhood for the last five months. I also lived in the Roseland community a few years back.With that said, I have realized that there is a lack of quality barbecue in the area. Yes, there are other barbecue options in somewhat close proximity, however, it's even better when you have something right up the street.This is a very new restaurant that has opened and I am excited to give a review on it. I hope that The review is beneficial to other people, however, I am hoping that is most beneficial for the new business owners.You can definitely smell the barbecue from the street. I would say you could smell it from about a half mile radius. Smells good. The main thing that I enjoyed about the restaurant was the actual decor. I like the set up of the order/dining/waiting area. They have a few flatscreen TVs around the walls and the decor is what I would call well thought out and comfortable. It's definitely more than you would expect "in the hood".I ordered a half slab of smoked barbecue ribs. Wait time was relatively low. Quality of food? I will say that the actual quality of the meat itself is quite excellent. I would say that the seasoning and the sauce have some room for improvement. Of course, this is a personal review based off of my particular taste buds.I will say, however, that from an overall standpoint that the food is quite good and if the owners are open to input from customers, they will be quite successful.I will definitely say that it is worth a try and I had the opportunity to talk to one of the owners and they will have a few different delivery options available in the near future. I look forward to adding on to this particular review.

I had some food from 79th Street BBQ. They delivered!!I ordered some Ribs and some Burnt Ends. The ribs were Kansas City Style. They were very good!! Moist and tender. The sauce wasn't overbearing just right. The sauce wasn't hot or too sweet. Just right. The Burnt Ends... ok they were tender ON the INSIDE. Didn't know that Burnt Ends were actually Burnt on the outside but tender on the inside?? How Did they do that??!!!? Anyway that's what the 3 stars are for. The Burnt Ends. The ribs were excellent!! So 79th ALMOST got 4 stars. But the Ends justified the Burnt,I mean.....

DONT bother coming here. They advertise sides but don't sell them. They literally have menus posted in the windows but don't off half of what they are advertising. They don't give refunds and are VERY RUDE. I literally placed my order, paid, and the lady told me it was going to be a wait and asked for a refund because I didn't have that kind of time to wait & they told me no. Customer service is none existent. I wouldn't recommend them even to a pig

I hate not giving 5 star reviews but I have to, for the culture. Got this delivered more than promptly, great! The sauce was ok but the poor meat- oh dear. Not much flavor and the taste resembles neck bone meat. I do like steak fries so that I liked but most of the tips were inedible and the amount of bones in the container was ridiculous. Sorry y'all, I was highly disappointed.

Great smell,great location and great food and service.menu was loaded with everything bbq including turkey options.i had a full slab of baby backs,I also loaded up on tips and hot links,I wanted to try it all to see what I,d like best.tips were the best and links were close behind.you won't be disappointed.customer service was also great.thanks guys.will be returning.

Their beef brisket is so tender. I love it! The owners are usually there, and very friendly. From time to time they may run out of items such as macaroni and cheese, but overall this is a decent food. The food is good. The sauce is good, and the restaurant is clean. I no longer indulge in pork, but their turkey, chicken and beef options are satisfying.

Decided to stop here because Chicago Pit Chicago Height didn't answer the phone so I stopped here the ribs was real tender my husband got and I got Burnt ends there was real tender it's very good for

Oh my goodness I have never tired this place but when I did..... turkey tips are definitely a hit... a nice amount of sauce.. and steak fries Oh yea their food was great too... fried chicken and pork tips Thanks a lot we will be back soon!!!
