I tried their happy hour awhile ago (during the May NBA finals). We thought this would be a fun venue to watch some basketball games. Service wasn't very welcoming. There were two bartenders. There weren't many members that evening. The space is absolutely beautiful with a bar, plenty of tables, booths. There's an open aire kinda feel to it which lets in some amazing breezes (even when it's humid/hot outside). Note though - there's no a/c here.Happy hour menu was limited. We tried :Carne asada fries:- carne asada was dry and the chips were so oilyBrussel sprouts:- was burnt and difficult to eatWe stepped away for a moment to play a quick game of shuffleboard. By the time we returned, someone was sitting in my chair and he definitely didn't look over 21. So not sure if this is truly a 21+ venue?Another friend and I stopped by Saturday after 1030a spin. We wanted to see if they offered breakfast. The bartender working that late morning couldn't have been less welcoming. He barely looked up when we tried to ask him questions. He could have cared less to give us more information so we left and had a wonderful breakfast inside at Cafe Vida. It's my understanding they share the same kitchen. This is a very pretty venue that I hope to try again soon. They have a summer special called Sips. You can try a few of their wines and draft beers for free Mon-Thurs 5-8p. That would be something fun to try with others if service improved.

I called in and made reservations for me and my wife for date night, and I was excited to try this place out. It was near our house, and the reviews seemed promising. HOWEVER - THEY WOULDN'T LET US IN!!!! This place is in a private club, it seems, and only members can eat there! So WHY DIDN'T THEY MENTION THAT WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATION??? In addition, all of the staff we interacted with were rude and disdainful, like it was below them to be dealing with rabble like us. After that treatment, we both agreed - we wouldn't go back there even if they paid us!! I actively discourage anyone from going there ever again. Probably our worst dining experience in San Diego.

Nice place to grab a drink. I would not recommend the place for food. The food, an All-American Burger and Turkey Jalapeño Burger arrive cold as did the fries. Oh wait, I ordered a salad not fries! Salad came with no dressing. Bummer. :(

in LOVE with the place. the atmosphere is so spacious (makes you feel like you're on a vacation!), staff is amazing and so polite, the drinks are to die for (they even made me a birthday cake shot and scooby doo shot when i asked!) most bars don't know what those are! and every plate is delicious. also happy it's 21+ so kids aren't running around, etc.

I had a small party there recently and they were so accommodating! The food was excellent and the servers were fabulous. Since they have changed their menu, the food is really good. We were there at Happy Hour time and the small bites were very inexpensive and delicious. The setting is gorgeous and although it is part of a membership club, the public is welcome at this restaurant. Try it at happy hour or football night....great buys and great food.
