664 TJ Birrieria

Food is so good. I've been on a birria kick and this satisfied it. It was made pretty quickly and the server was nice. You order from the counter and she brings it to you. I think we waited maybe 5 mins? (Context: Ordered on Sun afternoon in Feb) I highly recommend the madrazo birria cuz it's fried and you just can't go wrong. It's so so good. The quesa birreria was good too. You can eat inside and they have one seating outside. Come support

One thing about 664 TJ Birreria is that you can always count on them to make a very good beef birria quesa taco. I had a pair for $4 a piece. They came semi crispy as I requested. The beef birria was not on tender and juicy, but it also had very good flavor. The tacos came with a good amount of cheese, they could of used a little bit more, and came with the standard chopped onions and cilantro. The tacos were smartly doubled up on the corn tortillas which is pretty standard for these tacos, given all the contents they put in them, which is a good thing. Good tacos.Service was good and their red hot sauce was tasty and spicy. The young lady out the counter was very nice, but they need to offer water from a cup, not just bottles water from the frig.

TJ Birreria is a 5 star birria joint.After having lived in Mexico for a couple years it's hard to find good birria in San Diego.This stuff is legit.

Yummy birria , a little bit pricy for what it was , but worth it for the flavor ! Service was nice !

I'm not sure when they opened, but I know I feel like it's been a few months since I first saw the sign pop up. They are in the spot that used to belong to Cotija's Taco Shop. Stopped in today after having a taco craving all day and was so shocked that this spot was empty on a Saturday night. It's the same great 664 TJ Birrieria as their other locations across SD. I was already a fan since trying their Barrio Logan location so I stopped in already ready to order. We grabbed it for takeout to enjoy the sunset. Their menu is small, specific to beef birria-centric items. I always get their quesabirria tacos. Usually two, sometimes just one if I just want a snack. I'll get a cup of consommé when I'm feeling drippy. Served with some limes, radishes, and salsa. They also have birria ramen and a few other things on their menu. I'm surprised that I'm the first to review this one! Any of their locations have been a consistently delicious experience that I look forward to enjoying again and again.

Terrible service from the lady who works Sunday and Mondays. Operating hours says they are open until 8pm! Yesterday 10/01 sunday i showed up around 6:30 pm with people eating inside and we sat down it took approximately 15 minutes for her to greet us just for her to tell us it was CLOSED AT 6:45 PM! we kindly left and came back today! at 6pm sat down it was the same lady and didn't get greeted until like 5 minutes after arrived which the store was left unattended. Which she didn't even greet us and said we can only take the food to go. In which i asked for 9 quesabirrias. She gave us 9 Birria tacos. Not what we ordered. We usually love this chain of birria in san diego but their pacific beach location is poorly ran. I much rather go to the one in Hillcrest, National City or Logan. Pero en corto cierran a la hora qué se las da la gana y no te dejan comer adentro después de las 6pm.

Birria was great yet WAY WAY over priced especially when you don't get casome (dipping juice) with the tacos.. COST is over priced.

I was super stoked to have try the pb location after going to the hillcrest location a few times. Rang the bell a few times no one answered looked into the kitchen and the only person working was sleeping. Must've had a rough Saturday night....
