55 South - Franklin

Our first stop in TN! Everything was so good. We had the deviled eggs, crab fries & grilled shrimp salad. We went back the next day and placed a deviled egg order to go. Wonderful ambiance, location, parking and food!

We were looking for a dinner spot to catch up friends and stumbled upon this place on a weeknight. The vibe was what we were looking for as it wasn't too loud, but also had a good energy about it. We were sat immediately on the left side of the restaurant, which is the side that does not have a bar. The menu was on your table under the glass so there was nothing to hold, and it was simple to understand.Our server was with us quickly and was good about giving us time to chat as we were slow ordering. Once ordered though, the food came out quickly. we started with the deviled eggs, which were great! The pickle was a nice touch. For my entree, I had the jambalaya and it was also good. The temperature was a bit on the cool side, but the ingredients were top notch and it had a nice kick to it. There is another location in Brentwood.

Stopped in while visiting some friends in Franklin. The cutest atmosphere ever! And the food wasn't bad either. Our server was as friendly as you would expect in a small town like Franklin. She expertly guided us through the menu, and made some wonderful recommendations.We ordered the fish tacos and the Po boy, both were absolutely delicious. The sweet tea will quench your thirst. The atmosphere will make you smile.

Lovely all around! Great food and friendly staff! The vibe of the restaurant is really cool too! Totally recommend 10/10! The sauce on those pickles is to die for. The portions are huge you won't leave hungry or disappointed!

Great restaurant/bar in the heart of downtown Franklin. There was some road construction down the street but it didn't stop the crowds in and around the restaurant which tells you it's a popular spot. We came in on a Sunday when it was brunch only which was sad because I had my eyes on the fish tacos but I settled for a bbq chicken sandwich which turned out very good. The homemade chips for the side are very good too and great to dip in bbq sauce. I also got a cup of gumbo for an app and it was top notch gumbo. Great place for kids too with a nice menu. Several local beers on tap and a full bar.

Arrived here around 6:15pm on a Friday night. My partner and I forgot that it was the first Friday of the month so a bigger crowd would be expected in Downtown. Not surprisingly, the wait time was an hour and a half and the restaurant does not take reservations (first come, first serve). We went ahead and accepted the long wait time. The great thing about the location is that there were plenty of stores open for us to browse and a bar nearby to have a pre-dinner drink. Once we did get in, the service was good and the waiter was attentive. The Bootlegger was good and strong. My favorites were the Po Boy Remix with the shrimp seasoned so well and the Banana Pudding (we ordered this to go because we were very full).

My wife and I were on a trip to Tennessee and we decided to visit the downtown Franklin area. If it wasn't for a community volunteer, we would've never stopped here. The ambience was fun. The service was great and the food was delicious. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and I think we ate fried pickles at every meal the flavor of the food was spot on and this will be a stop each time we visit until we eventually moved to the Tennessee area..

In town for a few days on business and this was my favorite place we ate. The atmosphere was great, friendly service, and the food was all amazing! We started with the smoked brisket queso and the garlic Parmesan crab fries...oh my. These fries are a must! For my main I ordered the hot chicken with a side of gumbo and both were perfect. The chicken was juicy and the spice level was a perfect balance of flavor and heat. Gumbo was flavorful and fresh. I'll be back next time I'm in the area for sure.

Nice helpful folksTons of bourbons but had a beer. AC works great on a hot afternoon of shopping. Blackboard of bourbon prices easy to shop your favorite... they probably have it!

What a great experience we had here! My husband had catfish with seasoned fries and red bean and rice! I couldn't stop eating his fries! I ha the green and pimento BLT-so delicious! The fried green tomatoes were fried perfectly; the bacon was crisp and the pimento cheese was perfect on the sandwich! It came with home made chips that were also so so good! Fresh fried, hot crisp and seasoned perfectly! Love love this place! The service was also the best!
