Had the chance to order the limited special release of BBQ ribs through Instagram DM like the old days. Did not disappoint! Happy to hear that he's adding to the menu permanently in the future. Also, had the Spicy hot chicken sandwich which was perfectly crispy and juicy with subtle Chinese flavors that made it stand out from all other chicken sandwiches in Chicago.

I had somewhat high hopes hearing about this place- especially watching the videos playing of the chef in the restaurant. You order through a kiosk which was fine and easy. Ordered the combo plate with orange chicken and pork, along with veggie rice. Partner ordered lemon pepper and pork along with veggie rice. The rice was the best part of the dish- but it tasted just like any normal fried rice. It wasn't any better than any fried rice I've had. The weird thing was my rice was different colored than my partners- even though we both ordered veggie rice. His was darker and had more flavor and mine was lighter with less flavor. Just odd. The chicken was not good. It wasn't tender, didn't have much flavor and dry. The pork was ok. We didn't finish anything and wasn't worth to keep for leftovers. It tasted like very basic low end dry takeout- and not the good flavorful type. Three stars because it was ok, we felt fine after eating it and there weren't any issues with customer service. It just wasn't as good as I had hoped.Edit- added a star because I do appreciate the owner reaching out and offering a redo. It's not something I can do at the moment, but definitely appreciated. I'd be willing to try them again.

3LP opened in Bridgeport about a month ago and I've been there 7+ times already. Standouts, any of the fried rice dishes, both chxn sandwiches or any of the fried chicken with the sauces. Standout is definitely the Char Siu. It's so good. It's got a perfect flavor but how the pork is cooked is so tender, I crave it all the time. 10/10 must eat.

I was excited for first 3lp brick and mortar location to open up in my neighborhood. I had heard such great things and had really high expectations. I decided to try it out and I got the choose 2 box, orange chicken and sweet pineapple chicken. I was left disappointed. The serving size was just okay. The orange chicken was bland and it didn't taste like orange, or at least what orange chicken normally tastes like. The pineapple chicken was better and was sweet. Finally, the fried rice was just ok. It had too much garlic for my liking. Overall, the food was just ok. I would only return to try the sandwiches as most of the reviews on here talk about how great they are.

REAL TALK: I fell in LOVE with their 3 pigs design on their brown bag, so I knew I had to come here no matter what!I had read the story about the longtime loyal following of Chef Henry Cai, so I wanted to check out 3 Little Pigs, aka 3LP. This is also their first brick-and-mortar location, located in the Bridgeport 'hood. The menu is pretty extensive, offering various apps/sides, offer 'Boxes', Fried Chicken Sandwiches, Beef Sandwich, Burgers, wraps, noodles, salads, BBQ, fried rice, and drinks.I ordered:+Crab Rangoon - larger than normal, these come with 3 pieces and a side of their house sweet and sour sauce; the skin was a little thicker, and I wished these were crispier; regardless, the crab/cream cheese filling was generous and this was still a yummy app+the Original Salt & Pepper Fried Chicken Sandwich - deep-fried seasoned chicken topped with fried garlic, sauteed jalapenos, and original mayo, sandwiched between a brioche bun; the online menu stated it was served with a side of Chinese pickles in the description, but the item title stated it was served with fries (curly fries); this was pretty delicious! The chicken HUGE, and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly; the toppings, especially those sauteed jalapenos, made this so good; definitely can get messy with the mayo, but it was finger-licking good!+Veggie Fried Rice - prepared with peas, carrots, broccoli, white onions, green onions, beansprouts, and eggs; not sure if I was a fan of the flavors, but I'm thinking if I added some soy sauce and chili oil at home, it could be better?I'd like to try their Dry Chili Lemon Pepper Chicken, the Sweet & Sour Pineapple Chicken, the Shrimp Fried Rice, the Original Hot Pot Beef, and the OG Fat Head Henry Burger on the next visit!Order is done at one of the two kiosks that are available. The place is cozy and cute, and there's a handful of seating. I absolutely loved the decor and the mural on their building!Staff were super kind, friendly, and welcoming!Street parking can be found in the area.Definitely check this super local, small business out!+Original Salt & Pepper Fried Chicken Sandwich!+friendly & kind staff!+kiosk ordering+street parking available

3 Little Pigs is the real deal. You can expect quick service, generous portions, and (most importantly) ridiculously well-seasoned, chunky fried chicken at both their new Bridgeport brick-and-mortar and South Loop pop-up. On a Wednesday afternoon, I submitted an online order for the Lunch Special that comes with fried chicken (mine was lemon pepper), fried or white rice, 3 egg rolls, 2 sauces, and a coke and that was ready in exactly 10 minutes. Every bite of this chicken is a symphony of crackly, crunchy goodness with a zing from the lemon and pepper. Chef Cai's choice to use chicken thighs ensures every bite is equally as juicy. While the spring rolls are nothing to write home about, it's very cool that 3 were included! Paired with white rice and added green beans (from home), an order could be enough for two meals if you can stop yourself from eating all the fried chicken. In Chicago's competitive fried chicken scene, 3 Little Pigs is living up the hype as Chef Cai strives to perfect classic Chinese-American takeout. This new loyal customer will definitely be back to try their other renowned items.

Great people and great food! Been following Henry and 3LP since their ghost kitchen days, so happy they have a brick & mortar in the neighborhood! Most unique sandwich goes to the Hot Pot Italian Beef, everything else was great as always. Highly recommend!

I ordered off Uber Eats. I was excited to try this place after seeing all the reviews and was disappointed. The hot beef sandwich was cold and dry and flavorless. The au jus cup, was 1/2 full and had good flavor, but they didn't provide enough for the full sandwich. The crab rangoon, just aight, not the best in the city and not worth $10 at all. The egg fried rice was the ultimate disappointment, totally flavorLESS. I'm really sad because I was excited to try this place, but it was not it. Not sure if it's because I ordered late in the day or if the chefs are new, but it was a total miss for me.

This is my second time at 3LP, and I must say, whether it's out of a ghost kitchen or a brick-and-mortar location, this place continues to be fire! This time around, I decided to go with the Chili Oil Noodles, Meat Lovers Fried Rice, and The Triad Sandwich (pictured). 3LP is quickly becoming a Chicago staple with the various dishes they are putting out.

Salt n Pepper Chicken Sandwich with side order of crab Rangoons always hits the spot. My favorite chicken sandwich in the city! Looking forward to trying other items in the menu. Parking was easier to find than there previous location so that was a bonus.
