This is pretty close to Legoland and we dropped by here one night for dinner. We came here without reservation and it was busy, which is actually a good sign. We waited for about 30 min for our table and I got a complimentary glass of wine (very sweet).Their service overall was really nice. Everyone worked really hard to get through the frenzy. Food was decent. We got the meatball as the starter. I had the gnocchi with eggplant. It was pretty light and texture was good. Eggplant was a good touch. Kids got cheese pizza and pasta. The pasta came with a good bite. Pizza dough was on the thick side and was okay. The setup here is pretty nice. Plenty of parking around. I would come back here again only just for the service.

This restaurant is tucked away in an industrial office complex. When you first enter, you are greeted to vaulted ceilings and a modern aesthetic. The space felt very comfortable because of the copious elbow room in between tables. The service was warm and friendly. I started off with a lemonade and sparkling water which was brought out along with their fresh bread and cinnamon honey butter. The bread was warm and flaky and a perfect appetizer to the main course. I ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese for $23.95. The home made pasta was fresh and chewy although I would have liked it a touch more al dente. The sauce was the star of the show, it was rich, deep, and meaty. The portion size was on the smaller end although I was pretty satisfied at the end of my meal. For dessert, I chose the tiramisu. It was delicious and decadent. 2051 Cucina Italiana did a particularly excellent job with the mascarpone cream. I will definitely be back to try the Tagliatelle ai funghi and another tiramisu.

After reading the other reviews posted , I thought wow!Sadly this was not the case. The salad was so lack luster and had hardly any dressing!I seriously almost choked on it!The pizza that my friend ordered was not cooked all the way through and was meh.....I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce. There was so much grease leftover on the plate and the amount of spaghetti was quite small! I would not recommend this place whatsoever. I was sad to take my friends from out of state here to dine.

OK first, it is a beautiful space inside and out. We were seated immediately with our friends and a great outdoor patio table. We started with some wine by the glass, which was all good, and then started to eat where the fun began.First of all our server Fabio was one of the best we have had in quite sometime. Open, fun and new his stuff. Immediately felt at home. The burrata and eggplant appetizer was fantastic. My wife's clam and pasta dish was exceptional, our friends both had the dish of the night mahi mahi, and I had the pasta with sausage, which is fantastic.Parking is simple and huge, the space is beautiful, but the true star of the evening was our server Fabio. We had a blast and can't wait to come back. Highly recommend.

Conversation with Gemini MKe it a flashy 5 star reviewMind blowing!!! What a place. We went to the only planned diner in our vacation to Carlsbad and were so glad that we chose this place. We ordered a special lamb rack special with risotto, ravioli and red sauce spaghetti for our little one. Lamb rack was really special, perfectly cooked and I couldn't imagine when I finished it. The ravioli had its own saffron flavor which was mind blowing. Red sauce was great which wasted our little ones hands and cute face. In the end we ordered tiramisu which was the tastiest I have had. On top of all that the server was so sweet. I would like to come again to this place to try other delicacies too. To those looking for a nice Italian sit-down restaurant, the ambiance does not match it. It's in a business center on the first floor. You walk inside, and it looks like a restaurant that shares a space with a lobby for a hotel. Also, for the prices you pay, the tables and chairs are plastic and pretty cheap in material. For the food itself, it was fine. It's not great, just fine. My girlfriend and I met up with a friend who was in town, and seeing the reviews, I decided to give this place a chance. They didn't serve non alcoholic drinks from a tap. They gave you sodas in a can and ice. They also only had wine and beer. I'm not sure if they have a full liquor license or not. We started with a cheese board that was so simplistic and lacking that we had to hold laughter until the waiter left. 2 small slices of some time of bread, burrata cheese, honey, and 6 small slices of parmigian cheese. My girlfriend got the lasagna, which everyone raved about, but there was barely any cheese on it. It looked like a meat loaf since there was so much meat sauce you couldn't see anything else while eating. The part that made me the most mad was that I paid $22 for 6 pieces of Tortelloni and still felt hungry after finishing my meal. I was expecting a better overall experience here, but overall, it seems like another overpriced Italian restaurant that tries to be "different"

Sorry it took a few weeks to write this review, I'll start off by saying they are not in a stereotypical retail location it's more industrial. That being said, we went in the middle of the week and this place is full ! Now the food, one word, incredible! my wife and I had the fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms, I'm sure there another name for it but that what it was. The pasta is made fresh each morning. And you can taste it! If you've never had fresh pasta, it's just another world. Also had a flat bread pizza, that was ok. The Pasta steals the show and honestly that's why we go. Seating inside and outside, and the server we had was great old school Italian. Don't miss it.

this is a great Italian spot in Carlsbad! The staff is very friendly and I love how open the space is. We got the calamari and grilled veggies for an appetizer as well as the pear salad. The salad needed a little bit more dressing but was still tasty. For the main dishes, we got spaghetti and clams as well as a few of their tortellini dishes. Overall I will say the dishes are artfully crafted-- the pasta is freshly made and the sauces very flavorful. This is a great place for families and large parties.

Fresh, great tasting food, hand-picked wine selection, great service - I love this place! The Cotto & Funghi pizza was fresh and tasty - not too much tomato sauce, and not overloaded. The bread was fresh. The Balanzoni Pasticciati was also fresh and tasty, just the right texture on the pasta. They have a really nice Sardinian white which is very refreshing on a hot summer night! We've always had excellent service as well, this is something I do not take for granted.

My family and I had lunch here this past Saturday. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. This restaurant is beautiful! Exceptionally clean and very open. All four of us ordered something different. We started with the Fritto di Pesce e Verde antipasti. It was incredible. I ordered the ravioli agli asparagi. Absolutely delicious! Our wine was a Toscano red. We finished it that's how delicious it was. Dessert was a lava cake with vanilla ice cream. All pastas are house made. We look forward to returning soon. Best Italian I have had since my trip to Italy earlier this year.
