Made reservations for a Saturday evening and we were seated right away upon arrival. The inside was so nice and vibrant. The music was also a plus with some classic R&B playing. Dining area clean and well kept. The atmosphere was super cute and fun. The menu is not over extensive but has variety. Everybody ordered what they desired and we all enjoyed our meals. My beef patty was spicy and I love that aspect! The parish drink had a perfect balance to it with plenty of rum. The jerk catfish entree was delish and cooked nicely. I'm not really a gravy fan, but the gravy on the rice and peas was exceptional. I'm glad we were able to enjoy our dinner at such a fine establishment.

My date chose this restaurant. Really cute place in Hyde park with good vibes and ambiance. It's a medium-ish small restaurant so if they're busy you must leave the table within 90 mins. We ordered the salmon sliders. These were good but the pepper jack cheese did throw it off a bit. The pineapple slaw topping was pretty good though. We also ordered jerk catfish which came with rice & beans and cabbage. The catfish was pretty good, the beans and rice was delicious, and the cabbage was decent. Lastly I ordered the carmel rum cake and omg this was a hit! It is really sweet but sooo good! I didn't try any of the alcoholic beverages but they looked really good! Our server was amazing. I ordered a cake at the beginning (which I totally forgot about) but our waiter didn't. He was attentive and allowed us to stay over the 90 mins which was great since this was our first date. I would come back but would probably try the Rasta pasta, a drink, and of course reorder my cake.

Decided to stop by to meet up with a couple of friends and got a special treat ... the waitress introduced us to an off-menu drink, the bronzeville. I don't know if I want to share more because I like the idea of being treated special, LOLBut it was good! And strong!

14 Parish is one of my favorite places to eat in Hyde Park. This was my first time here for brunch and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Jerk catfish that comes with your choice of eggs, toast and a hash brown cake. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION. The hashcake had a hint of cheese which was a nice touch.Jas the bartender crafted me a mango mimosa (with my meal) and a mukbang shot that I enjoyed after my meal. The hustle and bustle of this place is self explanatory. The food is always on point, the service is attentive so no wonder it's always packed in here. I love the music choices every time I come in. Brunch is Saturday and Sunday from 10:00-3:00 so make sure to plan ahead.

This was my first time here, but it definitely will NOT be my last. The service, food, and ambiance were all on point. Our waitress Summer was very nice and attentive. She helped me choose an an awesome mocktail. For lunch I had the Jerk Chicken Cesar wrap, fries and sweet plaintains. This meal was so flavorful. As I'm sitting here writing this review, I'm trying to figure out when I can revisit this restaurant. As someone who lives up north, I'm willing to make the drive so that should let you know how good the food is. I can't wait to check out the other items on their menu. I got my eye on that Jer Chicken catfish next. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Hated it. It's one of those places that look great but didn't deliver beyond the aesthetic. First issue is that the young lady who seated us asked had we been there before. I told her we hadn't and she promptly responded, "Well there's a 90 minute time limit on the table...". No other greeting beyond that. We had $5 shots which were delightful. The waitress brought out our rum punch and I said aloud that I had expected a red color from the pomegranate. She explains that they don't have any and assured me the drink tastes the same. It can't taste the same if an ingredient is missing but ok. The drinks are harsh. An issue that may have been solved if they'd had pomegranate juice, Idk. We order and my niece gets transparent fish. I asked for a bite and thought I was bougie but eventually realized the fish was undercooked. It was actually transparent. She tried eating around it but couldn't. IAdvised her to take it home and air fry it or send it back. She sent it back. It was slightly overcooked when it returned but She enjoyed it and I liked the more crunchy oarts. My corn muffin was more like a cake muffin. It tasted like a box mix but they added sugar. Too sweet. I could have added icing and aside from the corn I'd think it was a cupcake. The Mac and cheese was flavorless, overcooked and mushy. You could taste the jalapeño but everything else was just oil. I wouldn't go back unless I was just going for drinks.

Delicious brunch food and good rum cocktails. We visited 14 Parish on a Saturday morning, and it was busy but there were tables available. The restaurant decor has an upscale Caribbean flair, and hip hop music played during our visit. I ordered la diablesse, plantains foster pancakes, and hash brown cakes. My drink was sweet with a tasty blend of flavors. The pancakes were served warm, were not too dense, and had plenty of syrup. The hash brown cakes were better than what you usually find at a diner. Overall, I had a great experience at 14 Parish and would recommend them for brunch in Hyde Park.

Came here for Sunday brunch and loved the vibes! Bright interior with fun decorations. The brunch menu is pretty small but each item is packed with flavors. I had the jerk catfish with eggs. The jerk seasoning packs a punch and one of my pieces of fish was soooo tender and amazing. The second piece was thinner and more tough/hard to get through. It was served with runny eggs, a potato hashbrown (not very good, tasted like dirty oil), and hearty toast with butter and jelly. My husband had the crab cake eggs Benedict which was served on corn muffins. He enjoyed this and liked how unique it was! And my grandma thoroughly enjoyed the jerk chicken Cesar wrap and noted the jerk flavor had a nice kick. I snuck a few of her French fries which were super crispy and come out piping hot!

I've never eaten within the restaurant, but I've ordered from 14 Parish multiple times via UberEats. The food is generally packed with a great presentation, but my favorite item, the jerk catfish is a little pricey for the amount of fish provided. Generally, they provide two catfish steaks, depending on the thickness, the restaurant may be "generous" and add a third catfish steak. My favorite sides to get are the jalapeño macaroni and cheese, the pineapple cilantro rice and the cornbread. I've also tried the cabbage and red beans and rice. I'm not as much of a fan as the cabbage needs more flavor and the red beans and rice doesn't have a gravy consistency. For appetizers, my go to are the Mango Habañero Chicken Wings and the Honey Jerk Chicken Wings. I really like both, but the Honey Jerk is possibly my favorite. If you feel like spending more money, get the Caramel Rum Cake. Now, there isn't enough rum, and the caramel isn't as good as Brown Sugar Bakery, but the combination of the two isn't bad.
