We usually go to the Gilbert location of 12 West, but we had been wanting to check out downtown Mesa, so here we are. We sat on the outside patio because we brought our puppy with us. The patio deck was nice and clean, however, I wish it was more covered and blocked the sun away. Since the deck was very close to the driveway, and there were a lot of loud cars, our puppy was super scared. As we were sipping our beer, we ordered a bunch of food, including fish and chips, hummus and pita bread, and chips and dips. Everything was so tasty and so affordable. We could not even finish everything so we brought the leftovers home. I think it would be fun to come here for a casual drink or two, or just enjoy the food! The Gilbert location doesn't have its own food, which made us more curious and excited about the Mesa location.

Cool vibe, good food. Interesting building in downtown Mesa. We didn't have a full meal just happy hour snacks, they were delicious as was my mule.

Great place to hang, eat and drink on a date or with a group! Good vibe going on here and great service. Went with the Cajun Fries as an appetizer....and there was plenty to share. Has a good kick to it. For my entrée I selected the Green Chili Mac & Cheese. I liked it, but the green chili flavor was a bit overpowering, so I would suggest adding a protein (yes, that was an option but I declined). On a scale of 1 - 10, I'll comeback and try some other options, and probably add chicken to my Mac!

Stopped in with a few folks on a Saturday afternoon. It's a nice big space (good for groups), and I liked the variety of beers and was happy with my drink. However, we had come in to get both beer and food. The kitchen was out of a lot of things, but we found out in a piecemeal fashion after ordering our drinks. We ordered one item, then the server came back and let us know it was out, rinse and repeat a few times. I understand that kitchens run out of things, but it didn't seem like they were slammed, and it would have been nice to know that up front or at least have been told everything that was out in one go, instead of having to change our order a few times and ultimately not really be able to get anything (especially on a weekend).

Beer selection is a bit limited for a brewery in my opinion. However the cocktail, cider and mead variety was wide. We came in on Saturday night around 8:30pm and the place was probably only about 25% full. We were seated but took over 10 minutes for a server to come over, so I walked over to the bar to order drinks instead. Not very well managed in service for a slow night.

I came here with my family last week, and none of us had ever been here before, but we have been to the location in Gilbert. I've been excited to try this location out since they have food and cocktails, and it's a bigger space. We sat outside and it was perfect weather. We all ordered drinks and each of us enjoyed them, I got the prickly pear mule and it was one of the best mules I've ever had! They ordered the pretzel appetizer, and it was a pretty big portion. I ordered the turkey melt sandwich with fries and it was very good, a big portion too, I took half of it home and ate it the next day. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Their dessert sounded good too, so I will have to try that next time! The service was good too, I will definitely be back again.

In Mesa for FEAR! show on March 9, 2024 at The Nile...got there early and very hangry. Was seated at the bar.Ambiance/Cleanliness-super clean, staff clearly is on it. Great looking room, exposed building materials, cleaned up, modern, inviting. 4 starsService-Pretty damn close to perfect...helpful, engaging, considerate...5 starsFood- Best Truffle fries I ever ate...WORST Reuben..pastrami-funky tasting fat chunks and beef paste. I would not serve this to anyone, the meat was not fit for human consumption...I ate it anyway and suffered later. The other components of the sandwich were excellent. No idea how this made it out of the kitchen. 2 stars.

I had been really looking forward to trying this place out. It is in a great location in Downtown Mesa and has a ton of space. We went on a Sunday after a kids' birthday party and we were seated right away. Unfortunately our less than stellar experience starts then with extremely slow service. Our kids were a bit irritable because they were starving and it took forever to get our food ordered. The food was pretty yummy and the kids enjoyed their kids meals. So far all the beer we have had has been just average and nothing I get excited about. I'm glad we tried it, but we won't be back anytime soon.Pros:*Location*Lots of space*Kids menu*Yummy food Cons:*Average beer*Expensive*Slow service

I'm a fan of 12 West! Went here after enjoying some ice skating at the nearby pop-up ice rink. The location is great in DT Mesa, with a lot of other restaurants, bars, entertainment, and the light rail all just moments away.As far as the 12 West experience, it was a beautiful December day, so we opted to sit outside. I love that they offer so much open-air seating! We were seated quickly and our server came by right away. He got us a round of waters while we perused the menu a bit more. Being restricted to gluten-free food and drinks, my first drink was a passionfruit cider (Cosmic?) - very good and would order that every time! But my second drink was even better - they made my go-to whiskey sour... and I thoroughly enjoyed every sip! Awesome! They don't offer many gluten-free options. I ordered the Hummus, but had they bring veggies instead of the normal pitas. The hummus was fantastic... and they brought out celery and carrots, so it would have been nice to have a few more veggie options included (tomatoes, cucumber, etc.).I couldn't eat any of the fries that our table ordered (because, gluten), but was tempted to try some of the barrio tacos that were dripping oil and looked gorgeous. While I resisted, others raved about them!Overall rating:*****FIVE STARS****Gluten-free rating:***THREE STARS***

Enjoyed lunch at 12 West today. It's a great looking bar/ restaurant in downtown Mesa. With high ceilings, exposed brick, it has a rustic industrial warehouse feel to it, which I really, really like. There is a great patio out front where you can people watch in cooler weather. Our server was very friendly and helpful. He was happy to make the changes I requested, and the food came out pretty quickly. We ordered wings, and a fried chicken sandwich, buffalo style. I really liked the sandwich and the fries were also delish. I recently had the Cobb salad here, which was good, but had dressing that was way too thick. I also had the hummus, which is some of the best I've ever had! This is a great place for a meal, but also just to have a drink. And because it is about a 90 second walk from my office, I know I will keep coming back.
