White Sand Sandwich (Vegetarian)
Rico y sabroso! large, and flavorful pabellón barepa! Taste very similar to ropa vieja. Arepas crispy on outside and soft on inside.

I had been wanting to try 11 degrees north for a while and it did not disappoint!! The arepas are large and filling but somehow still wasn't too heavy. I got the La Pelua which had shredded beef, plaintains, and Gouda cheese. It took quite a few minutes for the food to be ready (and each order one at a time) which is a sign of freshness in my book. I loved the texture of the arepa! They have a great menu of gluten free arepas, biscuit sandwiches, and even açaí bowls and smoothies. I was impressed with the variety of options! There are only a few tables inside but still room to sit and eat, just probably not the best vibe to sit and work for a while. I can't wait to come back and try more things! Definitely a new fav spot.

In my constant quest for the "perfect" açai bowl. I have stumbled apon this Chicagoland gem. A short walk from the iconic Wrigley Field you will stumble apon a quant little Venezuelan breakfast place with great food and even better service. They have a vibrant menu full of cultural breakfast dishes, and phenomenal prices on a variety of coffee and tea products. Overall, this is my new go to morning spot in the Chi.

Second time at 11 Degrees North. Even after all the delicious arepas I've eaten across the Chicago area, 11 Degrees North still stands out for their variety of flavor combinations (seriously, SO MANY combinations), value, and convenience. I've tried La Pelua and Catirota. You can't go wrong with either, but I'd recommend La Pelua if you are in the mood for a sweet & savory option and Catirota if you want something that's lighter or love garlic sauce. Another standout of my experiences at 11 Degrees North has been the drinks. I've had an iced chai and a warm matcha latte, and both have been comparable to those I've had at my favorite coffee shops in Chicago. You really can't beat the price either. Next time I visit, I hope to try their specialty drinks or acai bowls.

Love this spot! Very friendly workers and cozy vibe! We have tried a few different kinds of arepas, as well as a few different kinds of donuts and all have been super fresh and amazing! We keep coming back for the Iced Chai spiced Horchata. So delicious!!

It is in the most crowded junction in chicago. But this tiny cafe has to be my favorite Arepa joint in a 300 mile radius. It has a tropical vibe and the staff is very sweet. The food is extraordinary. Vegetarians and Vegans, you have something to cherish as well. Dont miss out on the Drinks. They are an adventure themselves. My recommendation: Pick an Arepa you like. But have it with a Cocada.Dont think there is a better way to start your weekend.

Small business with a huge menu! :) I was a little discouraged they are only open for breakfast and lunch, but was blown away with the breakfast options when I was able to stop by over winter break! I absolutely loved everything about the Santa Monica arepa - The chive cream cheese is something special!! Service is a little slow because they are making everything from scratch, but they are up front about that and it's well worth the wait! Seating is pretty simple since it's counter service, but we found space for 6 people comfortably! Will definitely be back!

Eleven Degrees was great! Tucked away in a cozy corner on Belmont, the warm atmosphere was inviting on a cold day. I ordered a chai latte and the Island Pork arepa, which were both delicious. The staff were super friendly when ordering and getting our food. The flavors in the arepa all blended together perfectly despite being so different. My one complaint would be that for the price I would've loved more food. Otherwise, I had a great experience dining here!

Ok a couple of things. The food here is absolutely delicious, don't get me wrong. Prices are good too. Unfortunately this place is extremely dirty though, I'm not sure if they ever really clean. Also, the girl working the register was oddly saving one of the tables with her phone, fanny pack, and tumbler while people were waiting to be seated. She'd just go over there to text, but was not actually using the table. It was odd. Also, they don't have a bathroom. Anyways the food here is great, it's just a couple of odd things that make me not want to come back

Since I was up north, I swung by Amici (featured on Keith Lee) and said nope to the line. This spot came up on Yelp and I'm glad I came. An arepa is a sandwich made with hot water cornbread. The chicken was juicy and seasoned without being overwhelming. Everything was fresh and blended well. I also had a chai spiced horchata. I love chai and I love horchata, but it was not what I was expecting. A bit thick, and not the flavor profile I was expecting. Subtle worked for the chicken seasoning but not this drink. The space has seven tables and is very cute. Service is friendly. If I lived near I would add them to my lineup, especially for breakfast sandwiches. They also have an extensive cafe drink/smoothie selection.
