Im not sure about the bad reviews!!This is by far the best buffet in san diego.I have been to so many aweful ones ones in the san diego/karney mesa/la mesa area and man, this is elite. I have the best crab legs, lobsters, and crawfish here. Shrimp,m is perfect here and their noodles just melts in my mouth. Please do yourself a favor ignore all the bad buffet. Service is good but when they get busy it might he slow.

Where are the napkins that are normally on the table already ???New destination for lunch buffet in the area. Located at the erstwhile todai , this dining option is worth checking out for its novelty.Decor and fixtures are outstanding and presents a clean atmosphere for now and hopeful they maintain it.For the spread itself the votes are in:l and the better ones are :-beef tendon salad -mixed veggie hot with bean curd skin-gelato station 2scoop at a time rule thouThe rest are standard buffet fare taste , selection wise. Although one can create culinary magic via Mongolian ingredients of choice and hand them off to be cooked to prtfectThe gentleman server was on point with ensuring drinks are always topped off and very prompt to remove plates . And yes, he was handing off extra napkins maybe one has to ask for them. It's a bit of a put off for a buffet since there are lots of mussel shrimp n crawfish that are eaten using hands and you need napkins ASAP .

I came back for lobster night Thursday $55, my first time after CoVid. Got in at 4:30, seated immediately but the place was already 70% full. Lots of people show up early for lobster. They serve wine bottles and 20-Oz draft beer $6, 12-Ozs bottle beer $4, not bad.i was hungry but this time the food was a big disappointment:Lobster is NOT live or fresh Maine lobster, but small rehydrated prawns, split in halves, baked with creamy cause, dry and tasteless. The line is long, waiting about 15 minutes for them to bring out 2 trays, about 40 half lobster. They are not worth eating, definitely way too expensive for $55.Lobster claws and snow crab tasted old, watery, tasteless, even spoiled. No raw oyster, likely due to recent poisoning.Salt and pepper shrimp was large, OK in taste.Roast duck tasted old and gamy. I just gave up.Prime rib was dry, tough and tasteless, even with juice on it.Pepper beef was also dry and tough, tasteless. There was other Chinese stir fries. The Mongolian station has raw shrimp and steak but noone partook. There were not many condiments to go with the dishes. Food was old, watery, tasteless not worth eating for me, so I went for the small desert station, creme brulee, cheese cake with canned longan and lychee. The pastry tasted old, looked like they have been out some time. For reference I eat Asian/Chinese buffets regularly. Komi in Buena Park has the freshest, tastiest Asian food, also at the lowest prices, lunch only $12.75 adult, $11.59 for seniors weekdays.

This is the cleanest buffet I have ever been to. The interior design is a refreshing departure from the traditional Asian style, leaning more towards a modern aesthetic. The layout is spacious and well-organized, making it easy to navigate the various food stations. Clean restrooms is a plusss. The food stations offer an impressive variety of dishes, including soups, steamed buns, and a wide range of proteins. You can enjoy chicken, seafood, fish, sushi, steak, and unlimited crab legs. The selection is extensive, catering to diverse tastes and preferences, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.Three critiques: First, the teppanyaki grill options were limited and tough luck if the cook is bad. Second, the tables were placed too close together, making it difficult to navigate between them. I often had to walk around farther just to reach the food stations. Third, the buffet is quite expensive, so I would probably only visit on special occasions.

Lots of dishes to choose from but everything was just ok. Sort of like a Vegas buffet but smaller. The crab legs were good. But not that big. Shrimp sort of soft. Sushi not very good. Salad bar had a good selection, but I filled up on other things. The Mongolian barbecue was cool, lots of noodles, vegetables and meats to choose from but then they squirt some sauce on it at the end that kind of ruined it for me. Didn't see the deserts until we were walking out. Service was good, friendly. My cousin just wanted crab so she was very happy!

I was able to visit this buffet for an early dinner and I was surprised at the quality of food. They had a long wait even with a reservation, so I think that a reservation is a must when going to eat at this buffet. The interior is pretty open and grand, but we were seated in this "back room" area of the restaurant and it was kind of close to other tables and the employees. It was cramped and I did not really enjoy the seating area. The food was pretty good for being a buffet and it had plenty of choices with the variety ranging from raw seafood to cooked seafood, some fried foods, cold plates, a lot of crab legs, and a good assortment of dessert. I think that the price should be lower, but I think this experience was very average at 3 stars. I might come back if I want a buffet for seafood.

Service here is quick to clear our table of plates and refill our drinks! There is a ton of food options here, with something for everybody! My absolute favorite was the sashimi tho. Especially the yellowtail and salmon. It was fresh and it tasted yummersss. I kept going back. The sushi rolls were decent as well and it was cool to see a poke station. I also really enjoyed the dim sum and the other random selections of food! They even had the grilled noodles station which usually is a hit. I didnt try it this time around but it looked cool.Huge dessert station! So many ice cream flavors as well as cakes and fruits to choose from. Next time family is in town, we are going here!

I sure what to expect went on all you can eat lobster day, which is Thursday for I think 54.99. I didn't know that they close at nine so 8:45 for everything. So we got there a little before eight. Wish we had been there earlier. Now all you can eat for 54.99, are you expecting the highest quality? Are you expecting five star culinary dining? If you think $54.99 of all you can eat anything is going to get you those things you're on the wrong planet. However, walking in with realistic expectations of what that would buy.... I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was exceptionally nice, thoughtful and helpful. The selection for seafood Chinese sushi, yakitori noodles, and everything in between was great! Crab legs were sweet , greasy and plentiful just Divine. I wasn't a big fan of the lobster. Honey walnut shrimp was delicious. Carving station was succulent. And a wonderful dessert bar. It was clean. Well done a great value for your money. So lots of families there. Great deal on kid pricing. Nice

Overall experience let's start with Covid messed it up for everyone lots buffet closed down . I'm super spoiled when it comes to food I only went to casino buffet was super bummed when they closed barona and viejas do to Covid they were my favorite .I found hundreds all you can eat lobster Thursday .i was hooked . I go there every other Thursday so twice a month and enjoy every minute of it and tip everyone there well . The food is good first let start by saying for the people that come here and say you have to wait in line for lobster or is too expensive It's expensive You have to wait for the lobster The crab legs are cold and lobster claws are cold If you're broke don't come here i get it it $ 60 + to eat here sound's expensive. Cesars palace buffet in Las Vegas cost $130 per person If I had a budget I would come on $42.00 dollar day not lobster . Let's do some quick math Anywhere else a lobster dish can cost from $69.99/$120.00 a plate that's one plate let's add a appetizer dish that can cost up to $40 dollars That's over 130.00 for one person . KFC has combo special 12 piece chicken and 4 sides 27.99 so please don't come and bash this place over price . Take alternative options of you're dining selections is you're on a budget It's true there is lobster line you only get one at the time but it's laughable if you expect to just grab a bunch of lobster and not eat it thats what most people that complain do I normally get like 6 lobster half no problem I could get more but I eat other stuff as well . So I don't mind the line I'm happy they have a line keeps quality control in line and lets this business continue to have this amazing deal day . Me personally like everything here it's great .Expect the crab legs cold and the lobster claws cold also a two hour limit that way new customer can come in i can respect that totally fair keeps traffic flowing Super great place for bday parties , corporate events , or special occasions . Service is great the location is super nice inside.

While I found the service to be quick and friendly, I wasn't impressed by the quality nor selection of food. I was able to make a reservation for my party of 12 easily and the dine in experience maxed out at 100 minutes. However I didn't see anyone breathing down our necks which I appreciated. Dinner was $41.99 for adults and there were discounts for seniors, veterans and birthdays. The seating was placed at two ends and thankfully I was seated on the side with entrees. =GOOD=*Teppanyaki: everything was made to order and the available steak tasted better than the prime rib. The noodles were thick and available of toppings were protein heavy. The only dish that was steaming. *Coconut Shrimp: lightly batter and covered in coconut shavings. Slight creaminess and sweetness. *Sashimi: the fish was tender and not fishy. During my visit, there was salmon, tuna, albacore and yellowtail offered. However the yellowtail stopped being restocked after 7:30PM which was disappointing as it was my favorite. *Sushi: there were a multitude cut rolls and hand rolls. A majority of the options were filled with imitation crab, tuna or salmon. I would have loved to see a greater variety in terms of fish combinations and flavors. The rolls tasted similarly to each other but with different sauces. They were properly filled and the fish was soft. *Scallops: tender and went well with the bed of chewy noodles. There was a gentle soy flavor. *Crawfish: on the spicier end and had a numbing effect from the Sichuan peppers. The crawfish itself had subtle sweetness. *Creme Brulee: the texture wasn't perfect but the custard had strong notes of vanilla. Very creamy and not eggy. =MEH=*Prime Rib: loved having the option but the prime rib was very chewy and cold. It could have used a few more minutes to cook and every piece was rare or still mooing. The au jus was flavorless. *Dim Sum: on the smaller end and the filling was bland. Wrapper heavy but it wasn't offensive. *Beef Stir Fry: the beef chunks were surprisingly medium rare but it was a bit mushy. The sauce was plain and would have benefitted from more spice or acidity. *Clams: bland but the clams were soft. =BAD=*Crab Legs: incredibly rubbery and tough. The texture was off putting and the pile of crab laid untouched. *Dynamite Mussels: the mayonnaise based sauce was tasteless and had a musty smell. The mussels themselves were hot but bland. *Gelato: there were 10 available flavors. I chose butter pecan, green tea and coffee. They all had a grainy mouthfeel and were muted in flavor. Probably the worst butter pecan I've ever had. The staff member was extremely kind and he essentially manned the entire dessert station. *Cheesecake: it looked enticing in the multitiered dessert case but it was room temperature and mushy. The graham cracker crust was gooey and the filling lacked integrity. Considering I came at 7:30PM, I was disappointed in how some items stopped being restocked. Especially for the hefty dinner price, it's not worth coming in as the better items were missing. The servers were quick to clear the tables and they were constantly wiping down stations. While the dining experience was pleasant, I left not being satisfied. The seafood variety was lacking and the more expensive items were poorly executed. Thankfully I didn't have any stomach issues like others, but the meal wasn't worth the $40+ entry fee.
